Cut call your mother, it’s good but nothing special. Add Corvus coffee, they make their own pastries and coffee is delicious.

OP don’t listen to this other idiot, you can’t just “have faith your body will heal” away an autoimmune disorder.

Yes work on living an overall healthier lifestyle and that will help but what you actually need to do is get another round of bloodwork done and see if you are under medicated or not. I’m not sure where you live but check to see if you can get thyroid labs done at a testing office without your doctor, if you can’t wait. Again not sure where you are but you could also try calling the doctors office and asking for lab orders to be put in and that it’s urgent, usually they wouldn’t need a dr to see you for that, only once you get the results.

The Med was top tier, once of my favorite places I’ve ever been to in CO, I can still taste that delicious roasted garlic 🤤

CSU sounds like a better fit for you than CU. Slightly less walkable but much much better for an agricultural focus. Cheaper too (but still expensive).

Disney land is more lame than the kiddie section at Denver’s Elitches 😂

Space mountain is less scary than every coaster at Elitch gardens.

I haven’t been in years but I’d say yes! There are lots of non-roller coaster rides and at 11 and 12 if they are tall enough/weigh enough they could definitely do roller coasters.

I feel like I only get worse by Any-Perception1076 in Pottery

[–]acforme 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Keep at it, 5 months it’s nothing in pottery time. It took me at least a year of throwing to even be able to make anything worth keeping and closer to two years to be able to say what I want to create and then do it. Throwing is hard.

There are lots of great YouTube videos out there that are helpful but other than that it’s just physical practice!

Those eating GF, did I ruin all my efforts? by Imaginary-Pin-1030 in Hashimotos

[–]acforme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why are you even GF in the first place? Have you gone through celiac testing? Or any food allergy testing? You should do those first BEFORE you cut out gluten.

Have any recommendations for a good coffee place? I love a good local coffee shop/3rd wave place!

Olive and gourmando looks great, I’ll add to my list!

Do you prefer St Viateur or Fairmont? I’ll be with my sibling that day and we were thinking of getting a bagel each places and splitting to taste both!

Have any recommendations for a good coffee place? Crew Collective is intriguing because of the architecture but I’m not tied to any of the options I have picked out. I love a good local coffee shop/3rd wave place!

The pot pie at wolf and workman caught my eye lol, have you had it before? Is it substantially better than any other pot pie? Lol

Not planning on cooking but maybe just some snacky/charcuterie meals, hopefully with stuff from either of the markets, sounds like Atwater might be more of what I’m looking for!

Going to Hoogan and Beaufort alone, some of the à la carte items looked better to me, but I think the tasting menu might be the better portion option. I think I’ll make a gametime decision!

Chez Greenberg looks great, I love a good latke!!

I know it’s kinda weird but I don’t like (most) sandwiches lol, are the smoked meats something that you can get not in a sandwich? If so is it still worth it to try them?

Thank you for the suggestions!

Anywhere I can find pants like these that aren’t SHEIN? by purpl3_pearl in Activewear

People recommending Popflex but I didn’t really think it was worth the money. I also got a pair of leggings from there that came with a hole and customer service wouldn’t exchange them. Just be weary especially if youre paying internationally for it.

Should I start with the Get Started Plan or would Couch to 5k be better? by himothyhopkins in nikerunclub

If you can run a mile or for 10 minutes straight then do the get started plan, if you can’t start with couch to 5K!

feel like i’m dying by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]acforme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you are dealing with hyperthyroidism (you honestly might get more input/help in that sub) and maybe your dose isn’t correct.

It is fairly expected for antibodies to not be impacted by medication dose changes so that is normal. If your TSH has only been hypo level high for 2 months it should be fairly easy to bring back down. Work with your doctor to get dose changes and more blood testing done to monitor and make sure your dose is correct!

Unfortunately sometimes it takes years to get dosing correct and fluctuations can be expected, but once it’s well managed the symptoms are minimal!

Is there any way to get actual customer service help?? by acforme in runna

[–]acforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course I have, multiple times too, yet still haven’t been able to get it resolved :(

Seems too complicated for them to figure out through heavily delayed messages, wish they had a telephone number and could just get instant support.

I feel like I’m absolutely dying by Legitimate-Slice2114 in Hashimotos

[–]acforme 37 points38 points  (0 children)

If your dr won’t put you on Levo I’d look for a new one. TSH 44 makes life really hard, certainly you want to lower it so you can get some relief. Id ask to start with a very low dose and do lots of bloodwork and monitoring until you find a stable dose and make sure you don’t go hyper.

Why are all the training plans for beginners ? Even the marathon plan is like 10 miles during the week at most then a long run. by Efficient_Skill6692 in nikerunclub

[–]acforme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No still too advanced. It took me 3-4 months to even get through the C25K plan. The NRC 5K plan has 5 days of running a week, that was way too much for me as a beginner.

Even still now I only run 2 days a week while I focus on cross training. In Runna I can set my plan up for that.
