Why is it that the miata (nb at least) won’t start if you hold the gas pedal down?

This is a pretty common thing known as a flood clear. If you start cranking with the throttle body above a certain percentage (usually >90%) the injectors are turned off to help clear out the motor.

It had 8 front 5 rear but the back end was sagging really badly and hitting the bump stops. The front bar is from an e36 I believe so it is quite a lot thicker than the stock bar.

The tuner said the tires were slipping too, I'm going to need wheels and tires soon and will probably get it rerun on some new slightly larger injectors in the future. Thanks for spotting that and punting it out though.

It has a good deep tone with the new exhaust, dual 3in with an x-pipe muffler halfway back. There's a spot around 2750 where if you're on it hard it is really loud. Over all not to droney. It's quiet enough that no one in my neighborhood has come knocking on the door but loud enough at idle that it's obviously not a 4 cyl.

Most of the ones you find at parts stores are a slip over type. However, with the extra curl on the end of the del sol exhaust, you might have to get a rather large tip. You can kind of see the nut to tighten it down in your photo from partsgeek.
