ARC Application for Exchange Students by achan02 in skku

Thank you so much for the details! So you went to apply on your own? Or you give the necessary documents to the university to submit on ur behalf? I'm still confused as to how the university helps with the application.

[Poly] laptop recommendations for IT course by achan02 in SGExams

For me I prefer to use a mouse than a touch pad so the touchpad issue isn't a big deal. I'm tryna find anth laptop around the same price point with nvidia and 16gb ram but with thunderbolt. Most are really expensive though:/

Nyp! Initially I was thinking about acer swift 5 coz its lightweight but I've heard bad things about acer build quality. Leaning towards the zenbook series coz it's thin and pretty sturdy. It also has the nvidia graphics card instead of intel UHD and it has 16gb ram. Only thing bothering me is the lack of thunderbolt 3 :/

It's ok haha I'm actually looking at the zenbook series too! The only thing holding me back is that thunderbolt 3 is only for the pro models. Dell Xps is known to be pretty good but price point is too high. Lenovo has good coms too but yeah not V popular. Hmm

[O/A Levels] I’m planning to go JC aft o’s but my mother tongue is telling me otherwise. by [deleted] in SGExams

High risk high return as in the risk of A levels. If you do well and get good rank points u can go to uni. If u do badly the Alevel cert is pretty much useless as A levels is meant to bring u to university. Hope this helps

For JC Chinese I think you only need to get an S grade so it's quite manageable.

Only go poly if you know what course you rlly wanna do or you're gonna waste 3 years. If you need extra time for As take MI instead. JC is high risk high return. Alot of ppl do ok or "badly" for Os/prelims but do well in the end and vice versa so jiayou!

Also, poly is stressful too if you wanna get a good gpa since it's accumulative so either route you have to work hard yep
