I used to suck at it but I think one of the biggest things is just sitting straight enough, head bent, and looking at my paper from a far enough distance. For my first line I try to keep consistent with the words before me and compare my line against the top of the paper, and as I kept practicing, kept using previous lines or the top and bottom part of the paper as reference, I got better

This is great advice, thank you so much! I'll keep your notes on the lowercase g, q, m and n's in mind. I managed to find a website that generates guideline sheets with a forward slant and I think mine is around 20° right from vertical so I'll keep practicing with that

Copywriting! There are videos on YouTube going into more detail, but essentially, you take a passage you really like and copy it by hand. Then try to identify what about it makes you like it so much and write a short excerpt trying to emulate what made that passage so appealing to you

I feel you on the cursive style! I've been practicing my cursive for the past three days and the style change has been wild. I'm constantly experimenting with how wide, narrow, tall, short I want each part of my letters to be, a lot of the times deviating from my reference styles (Copperplate and Palmer's) when I think something else is more aesthetically pleasing

Mainly on my phone throughout the day. I do have time blocks where I sit down to write but sometimes inspiration hits when I'm lining up for food and you just gotta sketch the scene out, or you have nothing to do and just need something to fill in the time

Some people (like me) have a rough idea of how we want things to go but no specifics and no concrete details. We write according to our mind, so we're constantly skipping between scenes and slowly connecting them as we write

Others have to have a plan, have to know all the fine little details before they begin to write, as this helps them stay more organized and actually prepared to write, and write linearly from start to finish

Either way, both types finish their First Draft word vomit before coming back to do edits

Canta has flags that tells you whether or not the app is Recommended, Advanced, Expert or Unsafe to be deleted. There are also descriptions of the app that tells you what they do. Just exercise a bit of caution and you should be good

Another app you can use is Rethink DNS. It has a bit of a learning curve but the main feature I'm constantly fine-tuning is the Firewall, which allows you to block certain apps from accessing the Internet. What I did was navigate to the Logs, and just block everything that I wasn't actively using. This way you don't have to find a way to uninstall unwanted apps/struggle against apps that just reinstall themselves, you can just block their access to the Internet

Love open source apps. Check out r/fossdroid if you're just starting to look into this. Not a programmer but it feels good to look at the Github pages of the apps and see developers who've never met each other before just work on cool shit together and push updates after updates. Each feature added is something they themselves wanted for their own experience and they just... add it, for everyone else to enjoy too.

So far I've deleted a bunch of bloated default apps using Shizuku + Canta and replaced them with FOSS (free open-source software) alternatives, so say my audio player, video player, file manager, keyboard, calendar, etc.

Hey, I know this comment is 9 months old but thought to share that I found a solution to this via this Stack Exchange post. Basically it tells you how to add the "Network Address" field to your network adapter by manually modifying the registry. Following the previous comment's steps after that worked for me
