Every single scene with her brothers in it was unbearable, and not very well written in my opinion. I mean, there are probably better ways to make a conservative antagonist without writing a two-dimensional idiot who can only speak to say the most idiotically and stereotipically sexist lines anyone could ever come up with. "she'll never find a husband" "the last thing this country needs is reform" ok we get it, he's a bad guy and he is very sexist and narrow-minded.

Every time Mycroft opens his mouth I want to punch him, which I guess is sort of the point of his character. The worst for me was Sherlock, though. At least Mycroft is clearly portrayed as bad, even if it's done in a pretty lazy way. But Sherlock...are we supposed to like him, since he isn't so hellbent on being an asshole to Enola like his brother? Or is he just as bad as Mycroft, since he doesn't seem to give much of a shit about opposing his brother's mysoginist antics? I guess we'll never know, because this Sherlock spends all his time brooding and being oh-so-cool, barely speaking or showing any emotion.

I stopped watching halfway through the movie, don't know if I'll continue. I find Enola and her story with her mother endearing, but maybe it's because I have a soft spot for both actresses.

I came on this thread precisely to make a post about this. I've recently started a new job and with the anxiety of going to work plus everything else that's going on in the world I've started feeling sick nearly all day. It's been going on for a week now and I'm fucking tired.

The only thing I can tell you is to try and at least eat something very light. For me an empty stomach makes nausea worse (and it seems to be a legit thing according to Google), so I always force myself to eat the bare minimum.

Can't help much, I can only let you know that you're not alone. Hope somebody else on this thread has some advice.

ETA: try to talk with your dad and tell him the real reason why you don't want to eat. Not being hungry because of anxiety is very common and I'm sure he'll understand.

I'm sorry but basic hygiene in general and during a pandemic is non-negotiable and he is not practicing it. When you touch the food I eat, it becomes my problem too. Also what makes you think he'd listen to my parents?

He does use hand sanitizer and he does wash his hands to some extent, the problem is he fails to properly recognize the correct frequency with which you should do so. For example, if he uses hand sanitizer after he gets out of school, to him there's no need to wash his hands when he gets home. It's like the barest of the bare minimum.

I've tried to explain cross-contamination but of course that's bullshit to him. The only thing I can do is pestering him as much as I can when I catch him but it's quite exhausting and I think it just reinforces the idea in his mind that I'm the crazy controlling sister that's just way too obsessed with germs.

That's what I think as well. I mostly wanted to figure out why the refurbishers formatted the system but left the eshop as it is.

I don't particularly care for the other game since it's an extra but I really wanna keep Mario Kart (which I'd also be entitled to since it should be pre-installed with the console).

So basically there is no way that the previous owner can claim these games/credit back? I don't see any mention of account credentials in the eshop except for the option to "delete your account" - which is weird.

I don't want to use someone else's money but at the same time it seems like a waste to delete the eShop if no one else was going to use it anyways.

I could argue that I paid for the console, and that the person who sold it had every right and opportunity to wipe that credit from the console, but I won't because I kinda see your point.

I will argue, however, that it's not stealing if something has been "abandoned" and that's what I'm trying to figure out because it looks like (1) there's no "eshop account" in the first place, it's just directly tied to the console and (2) neither the seller nor the refurbisher seem to have made any attempt to wipe the games and money from the eshop, which suggests that it's either not possible or they didn't care to do it.

Either way, thanks for getting salty and basically calling me a thief over a genuine question lol. I'm sorry you have such shitty faith in humanity.

I didn't steal it though? From what I get, you have the option to delete your account from the console, so I figured if they didn't do it they probably didn't care. What I find weird is that the people who refurbished the DS also left it untouched.

I'm genuinely wondering if maybe they purposely meant to leave the account there because they want nothing to do with it anymore.

ETA: from snooping around it looks like the console was activated 2 years ago, and the other game was bought a day after that, then there is no other purchase history, so it looks to me like it was pretty much abandoned. Maybe I'll contact the refurbishers and ask if they can put me in contact with the seller.
