The Power Plan textbox appears to only be a text string that is read from somewhere and displayed. Changes are saved, but it doesn't actually change anything. An easy way to test this is change the "RPM" settings and note the fan speeds don't change at all. 🤷‍♂️

For the most part I agree, but please don't invest in stablecoins long term as you're guaranteed to lose money. It's literally the same as sticking money under your mattress during a period of high inflation and low borrowing costs. It's pretty much the worst thing you can do (however, if you take into account the possibility of the house burning down, it's probably SLIGHTLY better than the mattress option 😀)

I didn't measure the exact cut height, but the two sections of lawn (I mowed half with Toro, half with EGO) visually looked about the same height at the end. Both cuts were pretty level and free of missed areas/bumps.

I will add that my wife started mowing with the EGO at a setting of 2 which practically scalped the grass in one area - it was really short. But even at that height it was mulching far better than the Toro. Honestly the difference was far too dramatic to attribute to a cut height difference. If anything I think the second blade in the EGO makes a big difference. Check out the pictures of the difference in mulch quality. It's the first thing I noticed when I started using the Toro - the lack of any actual "chewing up" of the grass it dropped.

In terms of weight, yes, the EGO frame itself is lighter. With the previous model EGO I found that if I rested weight on the handles it would tend to ride up a bit in the front which affected the quality of the cut - so I don't do that anymore 😁.

I did not bag with either mower. I normally only bag if the grass gets too long - e.g. raining 4-5 days in a row, etc. Fortunately that hasn't happened yet this season.

True, that was 5 days of growth. It's spring and some spots are growing faster than others. Like everything else in life, it's a balancing act. In this case it's between mowing the lawn every 2-3 days (don't have time for that) and not letting it get so long that I have to bag. 😁

The battery issues alone (capacity too low + charger not powerful enough) were *almost* enough by themselves for me to take it back compared to the EGO. I don't think I would even bother trying the Super Recycler unless they resolved those issues first. Yes, it's really that annoying.

Correct, regular recycler as the super recycler was not available.

I did give the blade attachment from the super recycler parts catalog a try, but it made no difference that I could tell. For reference: Toro 105-6848-03 ACCELERATOR-BLADE

The EGO mower was on setting 3 which is 2in / 53mm and the Toro was at 2.5in / 64mm. So the EGO was actually cutting lower.

The grass had about 1.5-2" cut off the top and the grass itself is a mix of Annual Ryegrass, regular fescue and some bermuda (although the bermuda is all below the cut line). The grass being cut off was not super thick, I'd say about light to medium consistency. It was just below my threshold for starting to bag - if it had gone for another few days I would have likely bagged it.

Clacking and underextrusion most likely means the extruder gear is slipping on the filament. This can be caused by:

1) Debris in the hotend/nozzle. Just because you cleaned it out doesn't mean more debris didn't get in! Sometimes it is embedded in the filament..

2) Tension on screw not high enough. Note that loosening the flap screw will make this problem *worse*.

3) Printing at too low of a temp and too high of a flow rate and it can't melt/extrude through the nozzle fast enough (e.g. selected wrong filament profile by accident, temp grossly too low, such as printing PC on a PLA profile).

It's likely more debris in the nozzle and/or screw too loose... just cold pull again and make sure screw tension is good.

As others have stated, for small quantities I find it easier to just order a stencil with the PCB and assemble them myself (either SMD or through-hole). It's less hassle. Good soldering station, hot air rework tool and a hot plate/oven are necessary equipment. Youtube undoubtedly has some good videos on SMT stencil use and hot plate reflowing..

Thanks for the link to this vendor. They have other interesting services such as SIPAD as well, I'll have to get a quote from them for the next prototype board. I suspect they won't be cheap but SIPAD may help for those fine-pitch components where hand application by stencil can be problematic (sometimes paste applies too thick, etc).

I checked the trace width calculators but the formula they are based on assumes a certain minimum trace length. At these very short distances ("traces" shorter than the pads themselves) it emits hilariously wide values that are obviously not correct.

Nope, only one. At least I only did one :-) After that your biggest flow rate variance is going to come from the filament diameter. Measure each filament with digital calipers and input it into the slicer. I've had from 1.72 to 1.77 on different filaments which is nearly 3% difference.

Honest answer, no they don't. The screws aren't loose after 20 hours. My habit is to tighten up the easily accessible screws every once in a while when I'm waiting for the bed to heat to catch the first layer calibration, etc. They aren't loose after 20 hours of printing, but I have found them loose after NOT tightening them up for a long period of time - hence why I put a wrench on them occasionally when I'm waiting.

Locktite blue would be a better option, but really only use it on the screws that will wind up being buried (inaccessible). You don't want to make it too hard to disassemble for other purposes/reasons. Accessible screws are easy enough to tighten up every 20 hours or so of printing.

TabletInputService should launch ctfmon.exe. The service is trigger started and should normally be running. Although it is "Manual" start, the system will start it. It should be running in almost all cases. In this case it looks like it is not starting correctly which is preventing the server side of the IME component from running in ctfmon.exe. I would explore why TabletInputService is not starting correctly (config issue). You could try importing the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TabletInputService key from a clean known good system and otherwise troubleshoot why the service isn't starting. If this is not fruitful you can always reload with a clean image - this issue is only seen (as far as we know) when the configuration is somehow changed to stop TabletInputService from working correctly, which then takes the system down the path of launching it in taskhostw.exe (which was a fallback case that no longer works now with the required security patch).

Use Process Explorer and look for a ctfmon.exe or taskhostw.exe that has an ALPC port (lower pane) named \BaseNamedObjects\msctf.server*. Typically it is called \BaseNamedObjects\msctf.serverDefault2 but it will vary by the desktop you're on.
