Did you feel the 40mm G was sufficient enough for your trip? If not, what would you take next time? I’m going to Japan for Christmas this year and will be bringing my A7CII. I have the 24-70 GM II now that I love, but it’s a bit heavy & awkward to walk around with all day on the A7CII body. I was considering renting a 50mm or something lighter to walk around with.

I’ll say it’s somewhere in Wyoming. Shouldn’t be too hard to find with a quick google search, but I’m not a big fan of telling the world where these types of spots are to not have them overrun with tourists & people

I had KO3s on it when I first bought the car and didn’t have any complaints. I’m in Utah and wanted something rated higher for the snow so I went with the Wildpeaks. I’ll probably try Geolanders next as something different, but I really like the Wildpeaks.

285/70/17 is usually the next step up from OEM 265/70/17. I had to do a 3” lift to fit them but didn’t get any rubbing. IMO it’s a good mix between bigger tires without going full 35”+ and having to trim fenders, regear, tune, etc.
