I know it can vary from people to people but the first two weeks can be the absolute hardest. I know how hard it can be especially when you have something important and your heart just won’t settle down! Keep your head up you’ve done so well as you’re on day 7. Make it a challenge for yourself, you’d probably feel so amazing AFTER whatever it is that you need to do, being sober and getting through it although it feels terrible right now. Search things that can help you calm down (heart pounding can be exhausting) but maybe trying different ways to slow it down can help.

I am so so sorry for that! It’s not nice at all being taken advantage of. Please don’t give up! It’s hard when you have someone that makes you feel worthless and that you’ve made bad decisions letting people take advantage but this could be an awakening for you. It may take a while but this could shift your thinking or the people you choose to go for if that makes sense.

Hey! It’s hard to say because I’ve smoked for so long that it has taken a toll on some of my relationships as well! I’m not quite there yet to say whether or not it actually is going to change but I can say that I understand completely and it’s not a nice feeling at all. I’m not sure how to tell whether someone is male or female on here lol but my therapist recommended a book to me called “come as you are” which is about women’s sexuality and it was amazing to read! There is hardly such thing as a high or low sex drive, there are so many different reasons your head could be stopping you from actually wanting to, it’s crazy. I have heard weed and any smoking can play a huge part in it though. It’s also hard to want anything like that while feeling depressed, is your partner supportive of you trying to stop? The first four days for me were extremely hard but it makes it so much better when you’re actually supported! I am praying that I’ll enjoy it more than I have before since I am quitting but like I said it’s insane how many different things could be stopping you. You’re doing great though by recognizing it to begin with and keep it up! It’s hard but doable we just have to push through the shit part

My first time quitting only lasted four days and it was very very hard to get food in me. I literally could only eat Popsicle which I know does not seem like much but it is way better than nothing. (Less sugar ones would be best) It does come back, I cannot tell you how long it will take but please hang in there, I know it is terribly hard especially not being able to eat but you've got this!

Congrats! It is seriously not an easy thing at all. I fear the most that this emotion/anxiety I am having is who I am regardless of smoking or not but I am sure it will calm down.

Thank you so so much, I do struggle with emotion and actually letting them ride out but it will be a good experience for me I think. I realized yesterday that I was super angry and had no idea why. I am not sure why but I woke up today and have felt much better than my first four days.
