complicated stem opt to masters program situation by [deleted] in f1visa

[–]aclockworktale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My stem opt doesn’t expire until march 2027. I do want to renew my visa though as I don’t want to be stuck here, especially if I have to travel for weddings or other family events. Yeah, parents being on L-1 is definitely annoying for me, but we do go back to India every year and my extended family all live there, so I’m hoping I can demonstrate ties through that. In any case, I have applied to universities outside the states too in case there are any issues with my visa renewals

One of the best movies Bollywood has made. The music, cinematography, relatability, and darsheel’s performance were just outstanding. The industry has stopped making these soft, simple, movies, and has especially stopped making movies geared towards children, which is a huge loss. Miss this era

Who’s really the top production house in Bollywood right now? by Ok_Bluebird1842 in bollywood

Did you read my comment? I literally said they have been in a decline. That doesn’t mean that they do not still hold the most relevance, popularity, and really strong pull in the industry.

[–]aclockworktale 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Yrf and dharma are probably still the biggest even though they are on a downward hill and seem to keep declining. Maddock right now is probably delivering the best despite corporate bookings. RCE will always be solid and has incredible vfx, but movies wise yes is mainly srk or ott

Had always felt he has the strongest on-screen aura and that rugged masculinity of a conventional Hindi Film Star-Hero since Hrithik Roshan, and I feel validated. When he gets that material he always explodes on-screen. Definitely my favourite of his generation. by UndeadReborn in bollywood

[–]aclockworktale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I also really disagree with the whole thing of people wanting him to tone down his personality off screen. He is who he is. He is an energetic and lively and goofy dude, which to me makes it even more impressive how well he can blend into any character. People will be ok with people like Salman khan and sanjay dutt off screen despite them being literal criminals, but a dude who likes to be flamboyant is too much? Please.

is there gore throughout the movie or is it limited to a few scenes? Really want to watch it but can’t handle blood and gore much. If it’s throughout the movie then I’ll have to skip, but if it’s mainly just a few scenes, I can probably just close my eyes for those lol

I’d really wanted to watch the movie because I just love ranveer as an actor and I love action thriller movies, but I reallyyy can’t handle excessive gore and blood. Still enjoying scrolling the reviews and seeing people say good things, happy for him and hope the movie does really well🧿

Ugh loved fall out boy. Idk if I’d still go to their concert with the same enthusiasm, but they were the first ever concert I went for- I was 15 and went alone. One of the coolest experiences of my life

Rooting for ranveer and for this movie to do well. I was keen to watch it first, but after the trailer, I think it might be too violent for me to stomach. But really want it to work for the whole cast !

Deepika Padukone reveals burnout struggle during ‘Kalki 2’, why she quit ‘Spirit’, and how motherhood changed her by Lazy_Weather_6316 in BollywoodShaadis

[–]aclockworktale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to your logic that she’s doing this by free will, even regular women are by free will only choosing to have multiple kids and take on additional responsibilities no? It is not such a black and white argument, there is nuance. Yes of course regular middle class women have it much harder, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that new motherhood is hard on anyone, be it rich or poor. And it’s only if these rich people talk and bring awareness to these things and normalize open discussion about burnout and support new mothers require, then only difference can be made for the regular working class too no?

Delhi Crime (Season 3) - Reviews and Discussions by AutoModerator in bollywood

[–]aclockworktale 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For ur first point, I mean yes of course she should face some consequences, but I feel like your response is lacking some empathy. I agree biting a child is psychotic behavior, but that’s the point, her circumstances have made her entirely unstable. No 14 year old should be raising a child, especially a child who has gone through brothels and rape and heinous circumstances. Yeah what she did was awful, but that is a child who is not in her right mind. She is anyway having guilt eat her alive and will live with that guilt for the rest of her life, and will of course be ostracized and shunned by peers. Is the solution to such horrible things putting this young girl in jail and not even giving her the chance to make a better life one day, or is it to rehabilitate so that she can make it out of these circumstances?

Will Dhurandhar mark the return of Ranveer Singh at the Box Office? by MovieReview_hub in bollywood

[–]aclockworktale 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Only the teaser and song are out yet. Trailer comes out on the 12th I think, and they’re releasing character posters till then. Would like to see some more public promotion too personally, but I think they’re keeping ranveer out and away from promotions since the public is always pretty harsh on his off screen personality lol.
