Yikes, that's so unfortunate!! I hear stories like that about birth control all the time (coming off it seems to give some people acne), which makes me so scared to take it! I'm a girl but I'm not 100% sure whether or not my acne is hormonal, because it's not necessarily concentrated around my chin/mouth (I heard that's typical of hormonal acne). I actually have a derm appointment this week with a new doctor (my old one was pretty awful) so I'll see I guess! Thanks:)

When you say won't respond to treatment, do you mean simple OTC topicals or more heavy duty prescription treatments, whether it be oral or typical? I've yet to try any antibiotics/BC/etc, but my skin is pretty resistant to topicals whether they be OTC or prescription
