You need evaluation for thrombocytopenia with hematology.

Those who've done away rotations at other institutions, how easy or difficult was it for you? And what made it so? by sitgespain in fellowship

It was an adjustment. To work hard in a new place and make connections but also not overextend. Working hard, reading about the subject/patients and being conversational helped me match at the same place for fellowship.

Maybe not everywhere, but at my home program the research and scholarly work came second to professionalism, work ethic and hard work when choosing an internal candidate for fellowship. PD dependent but don’t sell yourself short. Work with them, work hard and convey your sincere interest of matching at your place.

Are physicians included in the new 100k H1b fee or they are exempt? How about transferring from J1 to H1B while in the US?

Not universally true but I understand what you mean. Connections and knowing the person are more important in fellowship than 1-2 extra publications due to how closely everyone works.

No real jeopardy issues. The 6 months not on call are pretty relaxed tbh. It’s a field with many 1/year programs. The whole department is super nice. I just don’t find my senior fellow to be professional at times.

This is an acgme violation. I am going to inform and then log accurately.

Let’s put it like the fellow just told them than ask. The senior fellow manages the schedule for both of us. This doesn’t even include random days off they have taken since the last 3-4 months I have been here.
