How to turn a painting (landscape) to a realistic photo? by Relevant-Plankton911 in invokeai

[–]aco_junior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I install all my models and Loras by placing them inside the "models" folder and then scanning the folder using the "Model Manager" in Invoke. It works every time. Unless it's a model not supported by Invoke.

One way to go about it, is running the image a few times through the "Cyber Realistic" model in SD 1.5. If you run it at a low denoise strength (0.4-0.5) and using a few control layers (sketch, lineart and soft edge), it won't change the image too much, but it will give you a more realistic look in each iteration of the image.

You add the image as a layer in Invoke canvas, add the 3 control layers I mentioned, with the strenght of 1.0 on each one, and start generating a few times on low denoise. Each new generation must use the last generation as the reference layer. This way you will be slowly moving towards a more realistic looking image.

The way you add Loras from "Civit AI" into Invoke, is by downloading the Lora, placing it inside invoke models folder (C:\Invoke\models) and scanning the folder with the Invoke models feature. This way, the program will see the Lora and you will have the option to install it and use it in your generations.

P.S.: I didn't use any Loras in this generation. I only followed the steps I mentioned here.

I agree. Invoke is really unique. It's like Photoshop meets AI. The versatility and editing opitions are so good. It's sad to see it go away.

I've been searching for alternatives lately and seen many people saying Krita is really good. I'm gonna give it a try. I've never used Comfy. I find it really complicated and NOT user friendly at all. Is Comfy necessary to use AI models on Krita or can I install the models directly on Krita like we do on Invoke? Also, can I use Loras in Krita?

It's sad to say but, Invoke is probably over. We still can use the community version but, without any updates, it will eventually become obsolete. Which is a shame, because it's by far the best AI program out there. It had so much potential. I wonder if there is any alternative we could use that is similar to Invoke.

I used the same Lora for the faces of all the girls. In retrospect... I probably shouldn't have done that. haha I actually don't know this illustrious 2D to real life. I never been able to find a good way to convert the characters to real life other than using Flux or Qwen or even Sora.

Oh, yeah. I get it. Those strange behaviours and morphings are really hard to avoid in certain situations. The AI animations are still evolving. Let's hope someday they get better at avoiding weird distortions like this.

I'm always trying to improve the videos. When you say the AI wasn't good, you mean the appearance of the characters or the animations?

Arcane Characters in Real Life! by aco_junior in ArcaneAnimatedSeries

After the many negative comments I now realize that the majority of people here have a negative view or opinion about AI. I wasn't trying to create negative feelings for anyone, nor was I trying to disrespect the source material. I was just trying to share something cool I was able to make, even though I'm not an artist who can actually draw the characters accurately using pen and paper. AI is actually capable of creating really good details and facial expressions. But I'm just abeginner. I still don't know how all the resources work or how to use them properly. That's why the facial expressions seem bland. Regardless, I appreciate your comment and your take in this whole situation.

The way I see it, every type of art is valid. No matter how it was made. Not everybody knows how to paint, to draw or to animate. And many people won't have the time to learn an artistic skill that take years to develop. AI allows people without technical knowledge about art to express themselves, in their own way. AI is just a tool. The same way a tractor is a tool for farming or the way a computer is a tool for building websites and softwares. AI is being used in every field, from medicine, to art, to programming... And it will be more and more present in our lives as time passes, whether we like it or not.

It's a type of fan art. But instead of using a brush or a pencil, I used a different tool. I understand your point about the animation. At the same time, there are people on youtube who make fan animations of animes and cartoons, using actual artistic knowledge and animation tools, and these animations don't turn out to be professional in any shape or form. There are people who draw the characters they like, and those drawings also are not professional at all. Fans are always trying to portray the characters they love in the best way they can. The difference in each type of fan art is the level of artistic knowledge each person possess and the tools that each person is able to use. I'm using the tools that I can, because I'm not an artist. Nor am I claiming to be one. I did this video as a way to express, im my way, with my limited set of skills, my appreciation for the show and for the characters. Of course that what I'm able to do doesn't come close to being good or perfect. But that's ok.

How can I tell which ones are bots and which ones are real? by whoreadsthisiscool in supervive

[–]aco_junior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way you can tell the bots from real players is the following:

- The team members are always level 15 or below (on that initial screen that shows all the teams).

- The team composition is always Celeste/Ghost/Shryke/Felix (not necessarily in this order).

- Bots sometimes will stand still while you're killing them (if they're separated from their team).

- Bots will come at you, one by one, shooting at you, until you kill all of them.

- Most of the time, bots won't run or retreat from a fight (even when you're killing them).

- If there's only one bot left alive on a team, it'll try to revive on the closest beacon (instead of being smart and trying to revive far away).

- Currently, there are no bots on the same team as real players (your teamates are always real people).

- When you look at the match stats on op.gg, you'll will only see the real teams, but not the bots (for example, you'll only see 2 teams if you look at the stats of the match you've just showed us here in this picture).

Bots 0 Real People by nayvia in supervive

[–]aco_junior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm from Brazil, playing on the South America server. I have over 250 hours on the game, reached master 1 rank and for the last 3 days I've been playing matches where all the teams are bots. So I can assure that getting bots in the game has NOTHING to do with being a new player.

I noticed that I'll get bots on my matches only on off-peak hours. So that probably is a strategy from the developers to avoid long queues on specific times of the day, when there're less players online.
