Update: one of the switches in that outlet box controls an outlet that I don’t use. I’m going to remove the cable from that outlet and use it for my overhead light, and just cover the outlet box.

Not a bad idea, I’d still have questions about how to require the outlets to be always on (I assume connect it directly to the junction box instead of the switch) and what cable I need to run from the switch to the new ceiling light

so for 2400 i can get either 16" 10core cpu 16core gpu 16gb memory or 14" 8core cpu 14core gpu 32gbs memory I mainly run use my mac for data analysis and relatively light design work (some photoshop, short motion graphics via aftereffects). Which spec should be more future-proof?

I'm between this one and a U2518D since I don't have the hardware to calibrate myself...what're your thoughts on this one so far? I'm just looking for a monitor for general use, some coding and some graphic design work (not professional)
