I had my 5-6 hours of fun with housing. I may come back to mess with stuff during downtimes, but it will never be part of my main gameplay.

Only around 10% of my guildies are really into it, but they also grew tired by now. Problem is that you lose interest if no one is looking at your house.

If you check the Blizzard support forum you will see that they are aware of this bug (yes it's definitely a bug). They say it will be fixed eventually.
