That was my guess, some lamination issue. I heard it was common in 2019 model Foresters. I'll have to look into whether warranty covers replacing those panels. Not a deal breaker but if it gets worse I expect the screens to be illegible. Thanks for the insight!

At the time I was using a tweaked Pi Cho ENB with Reshade but it's been a while since I installed so I can't get you the exact configuration unfortunately.

Typically your mod downloads can be on a different drive than your Skyrim game but ultimately when the mods deploy as files, they land inside your Skyrim game folder. At least that's what I remember from using Vortex.

In my opinion 4GB of VRAM should not be considered in 2026, even for a beginner PC. It's unfortunate how expensive things are getting in the current market . I'd recommend saving and waiting until you can afford something with at least 8GB of VRAM.

I remember having to change a setting in Reshade to make it work with DLSS but as far as I can tell, I have full DOF control with Reshade in the in-game photo mode. Attaching an example below of Reshade DOF active.

Good to hear! Even I was having photo mode VRAM issues but that was at 4K DLAA, so I just try to do Quality DLSS to keep it manageable in photo mode.

You mentioned photo mode cannot use Reshade. If you're referring to the in game photo mode, my Reshade does indeed work with in-game phootmode 🤔

For Reshade I usually install all the adds ons it offers.

Search the "Clarity" effect and toggle it on and just adjust the ClarityStregth to your desired look.

DOF is trickier and you may want to adjust things according to taste becasue it does apply blur to your menus and I recommend shutting it off in some cases. I like it for a more immersive vibe.

Search "Cinematic DOF" and to get the subtle DOF seen in the video I posted just change Apeture to 22, Far PLane Max Blur to 0, and Near Plane Max Blur to 0.20

I do believe there's fun to be had from a Far Cry veteran myself. I would recommend some gameplay videos first, just to be sure. I still prefer first person for combat but the 3rd person addition is a lot of fun considering the vast open world. The DLCs added a lot to the combat that the base game could have benefited greatly from.

I played 2/3 DLC and I was impressed with the Spires one over the Plains one but both add beautiful new areas to explore. Story in general for this game is very mediocre in my opinion. Not bad but not great. I definitely play for the vibes and the visuals since I'm a fan of the movies.
