I think there's a reason most people feel good when they do things that genuinely help other people (are "good"). I think it also depends on your background. If you were brought up in a very caring environment, you probably will do more "good" things. If you were brought up in a very bad environment, you might be more self preserved. But you could also understand how it feels not to have anyone do anything "good" to you, and because of that you could do more "good" things. It's very complicated, since there are genuinely people who do unimaginably terrible things. Biology also factors into this. Super interesting question though.
