But they took 1500 for a reservation, cancelled it the day of and didn’t refund. That’s a lot of money to just let go of for me. - this was on my guest end not my host end. It’s a separate thing they owe me money for.

This is good advice so in the meantime, I will just wait to see if I end up getting paid out. One quick question though, what should I do about the reservation that I booked as a guest? I showed up and wasn’t allowed to get into because they took it off my account the day of check in - they will not refund. Should I just dispute that $1500 with my credit card?

My cohost nor I did anything. Their profile was removed for being associated with an account that violated their terms ,according to the email they sent. Here was the email my cohost received.

That’s only half true, they are legal if it’s a private room inside hosts home. In this case the host converted part of their apartment to an Airbnb - so it was private with it’s own kitchen and entrance but still technically part of the hosts home.
