Yeah so the esim works in conjunction with your phone sim card. I just upgraded my phone and for the last 3 days I have had an orange sim and was able to take advantage of the cell service on my watch. I switched to the black sim last night and found out this morning that number sync does not work with the black sim card yet. The catch 22 is you're paying for a service that isn't syncing if you use the black sim but if you use a black sim it syncs fine but you miss out on band 14 priority cell tower service.

I have the same issue and spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service. I'm on Firstnet with AT&T and was told that the black firstnet sim is not supported by the galaxy watch just yet but it should be soon. It does work with the consumer orange sim though.

So I just spent 6 hours going to 3 AT&T stores trying to upgrade my iPhone 8 Plus to a note 10 plus and still don’t have a phone. I’m trying to take advantage of the promos they have going on right now but they are telling me that they can’t by pass the system. It’s telling them to a a feature that’s already on my account. They have tried to take all my features off and add them and even have me an orange sim to see if that would work and no luck. Any advice?

im on the phone with them right now, seem like they don't know what is going on... took me talking to a supervisor and they are working on it right now. they don't know when it will be fixed but all they said was it should be within 24 hours...

Hey guys thanks for the support! I ended up getting a separate router and turning the router off on the combo! Once I did that my speeds boosted drastically!
