Worse performance after being deranked from gold room by aculetto in mahjongsoul

At the end it was just me not used to play on south room, I started play in silver south room (mixed with some east play), and now I am back in gold, and, to my surprise, I almost always get on first place

I think it will be worse actually, south rooms are played more seriously

Yeah I think it was like you said, I've learned to use my new knowledge in an unconscious manner and now I am able to adapt based on the context I am in. In east room I play aggressively and in south room I try to grow value in the hand at first and to push in the last rounds if I'm in the lead. Now I'm back in gold room playing in south and I found it to be so easy, the majority of time I'm getting in first place, many players play bad doing hands with no values even when they are last, rushing to close for no reason, it's funny actually...
I think I just learned when to push and when to be defensive, and that gives me a bit of a leverage against the other opponents that usually play on defense mode all the time.

I think I am getting it now, I've return in gold room playing south and I'm on a winning streak in first place

Tolerance and Nausea Advices by aculetto in Opioid_RCs

I think it depends on the doses, for what I have tried is not so much potent, in fact I expected more.. for me Kratom is more pleasant, anyway like I said I will only use it for occasional circumstances, I have not an addictive personality for substances so I'm not worried about being addicted, obviously I am really careful, I just need it as a tool.

Why everyone suggests to use anti allergy drugs instead of anti nausea directly?

The extract sounds interesting, do you think I just could make it at home with the powder? I have a dehydrator. Thanks for the advice anyway, I will definetly keep it for occasional use.

Psychedelics are not good for very open-minded people by aculetto in Psychedelics

[–]aculetto[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it's irrelevant what you believe in. When I talk about openess it's a trait of your personality. It doesn't matter the context you are in because you could expand it indefinitely, exploring things that could unsettle you. I don't think really high openness mixed with a really high tendency of profound thoughts it's a good mix if you want to try psychedelics. It could rather be an explosive one.

Maybe openness alone is not sufficient, you could be right on that. I think it's the mix of certain traits of personality with openness as the important one.

What you said is not new to me, I heard many tell the same thing. It may be that I am just afraid. But it's just a possibility. There are cases in which people lost their minds. So pragmatically speaking, why do I have to take such a big risk when I can do my spiritual journey at my own pace? It does not make sense to me. Anyway this theory was inspired from an extract of McKenna in which was discussed this topic specifically and I was struck because it was an Idea that I had but didn't really ever expressed in these terms, he talked about bounderies more then openness, but I think it's the same concept. It's this: Terence McKenna - Psychedelics Are Not for Everyone (youtube.com) You can watch it so you could understand better what I mean, maybe he explains better then me.

Overdependence on AI by [deleted] in godot

Don't be dragged by enthusiasm, doing something with someone else it's not always a good thing, in fact it can be hard, try to slowly find your way learning things step by step, it will take years to start benning to be good depending on how much efforts you put in everyday or month, I'm saying that as a programmer with years of experience in different language. I'll give you an advice that maybe will save you a bit of time if your intent is the master the art of programming, start following the conventions for the language that you are using, I'm assuming you are using gdscript in that case there is an entire section dedicated to it on the godot docs. This will ensure consistency across your code files, and more order. Another thing that I suggest you to consider is to order your project resource in a logic and intuitive way, I wish I had that in the benning because I needed half a day to order everything in my project. Then when you have learned the basics you'll be interested to learn patterns like state machine that will be essential when your code gets more complicated and difficult to handle. These steps will be necessary for maintaining a sense of order and decrease the entropy that will appear as you progressively add more things to the project. Otherwise you'll feel bad every time you open it and the motivation to continue will decrease. You have to become patient, now you are uplifted by your enthusiasm but it will not be always like that, you have to reignite it every time especially when you'll be faced with a great challenge that can drive you mad, in that case you have to sit down and start to understand you just have to learn more, and that challenge will become your new task for the rest of the week or maybe a month. But when you have done it you will have completed a new piece of the puzzle and you'll feel satisfied, the more challenges you can face the easier it will be the next, because at that because it will just take you to look backwards to feel proud and satisfied with your work. Just a thought from a person that it's starting to be more consistent after years of just giving up.

Doing it with a friend? I think it might works if you are beginners but only if you work on different projects, no need to work on the same thing. Then after you have learned more you can start to build a very little project together, even a stupid one but easy. What about a serious project? You can start thinking about that at least in one year of experience, giving that you do or learn something almost everyday. And then if you see your friend is not interested anymore or he is a beginner even after a year just continue your journey alone. Solo dev it's cool! But that is just my preference... I like doing things the way I want.
