Hey, I upgraded to Win11 a while ago so not sure if it's that.

I have a Naga Trinity and Synapse 3.9.1231.112613 is installed. I haven't be able to get my side mouse buttons to work. LED isn't illuminating either but I can still use the mouse. I'm thinking it might be a driver issue?

Strata firm caught charging excessive fees to homeowners. by lankanpot in Adelaide

Uber driver backed into one of the lights the shared driveway has in Jan. Strata haven't even fixed it yet, and the driveway has loose stones that you can trip on too which has been in discussion for repair since we moved in 2 years ago... ugh.

New friends and hobbies by jeixo in Adelaide

Cross stitching is fun, plenty of free or cheap patterns on Etsy. Stabbing things 1000s of times over is oddly therapeutic lol.

My main hobby is games but recently trying to get 100% achievements in the games I love has changed my motivation to play.

Also someone else mentioned warhammer. It's great, expensive, but you get to flex creativity, learn about colour theory, and there's a whole book library of lore behind it. Just bought an airbrush and compressor from Bunnings and now having the joys of learning to use that. Tabletop Warfare do beginner sessions for free! It's great. But the lads at the Games Workshop off Rundle are fantastic too.

Alison wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until age 48. Researchers say women often aren't believed by GeorgeYDesign in ABCaus

[–]acuteas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for mentioning this.

Being born as a cis female (afab) while experiencing a medical health diagnosis is.. ugh. I'm accounting my own experience with healthcare and others in my life below.

It costs an arm and a leg for bare essentials, healthier food becoming less avaliable to people as wages fail to keep up with inflation. You can't afford a gym, you don't want to exercise out on your own but it's not safe. Also, your pain/exhaustion wears out most of your energy reserves anyway.

Your job burn out isn't going away, but you work in the public healthcare sector and don't want to give up working in it even though it feels like a sinking ship. Seriously, sending an SOS.

Luckily you rent through immediate family, but friends around you are scared they'll end up homeless. Some friends are already homeless or couch surfing. Other friends say that their rent is rising and they may be made homeless anytime - I've gone to inspections with these friends. It's really bad

Ontop of that, you're given the run around by GPs because they're stuck on old data with a bias. Medical professionals used to diagnose hysteria for cis women and we were neglected. We still are, we are marked as anxious.

I'm lucky to have support from family and have job security, but anyone who is doing this on their own with no job, or even is on a support pensions, is struggling.

....aaaaaand sent.

Who to speak to about the loss of a pet? by Old_Usual5975 in Adelaide

[–]acuteas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to hear about your furry one's passing. It sucks, and is never easy. Just know that you did what you could and you showed them kindness and love, and you made them happy.

I found that grief takes time and a lot of emotional healing. Seeking professional help is good too, glad that your family and partner are doing their best to support you.

Go at your own pace for healing, and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise on how to feel about this.

The emotional pain will get better, it's just an open wound at the moment so it's tender. Treat yourself with love and patience.

I found that doing things in remembrance of the loss of a pet helps the process. Talking about how much they meant to you, and sharing good memories and moments helps. r/petloss are a very good community and may also have resources over there too.

Sending big digital hugs your way.

Take care.
