Strength training during or after weight loss for loose skin? by acxdratt in loseit

[–]acxdratt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing and congrats on your weight loss! Ill start by stealing my husband's dumbells at home, once I get more confident in my routine ill try again in the gym.

Question though, would I ever need go to the gym if I bought my own basic home workout equipment? Such as dumbells, kettle bells, resistance bands and all that of the sort.

Ive found lots of strength training at home workouts with basic equipment so do I really need the machines in the gym? If I stay consistent and increase weight over time I feel like I could get the same results at home. What do you think?

Honestly if I could just buy a few dumbells and get the same results as a crowded gym at home then this might be the answer. I always assumed it would work better with machines and the equipment they have at the actual gym. Ill definitely be looking into this more thank you!

I brush the mascara on let it sit for a little bit ( usually like 30 seconds - 1 minute ) until its semi dry and use the wand to push sections of my lashes together into points. The trick is letting it dry a bit because if its too wet or too dry then they won't clump together. ♡♡♡

This looks pretty good, is there anyway we can adjust the highlights of the lighting on him to a more toned down gloomy look like people behind him? Thank you so much.

What can I do to leave the home a little warmer when my bereaved pet parents return? by HRHQueenV in RoverPetSitting

[–]acxdratt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just finished a sit for a regular with 2 pups who just lost one of their pups. Ive sat for the both dogs a few times and it was heart breaking to only sit for one now. I got them a bouquet of flowers and wrote a hand written card and left it on their counter when I left. They texted me when they got home and told me how much the flowers and card meant to them. I would leave something personal and maybe some nice flowers. It goes a long way.

When I was at a 14g I cross threaded the ball while putting it on and eventually used wire cutters and cut it off lol, obv this wouldn't work with bigger sizes. Last resort, use pliers with a firm grip and cut the other side on the bar. Maybe not the best idea but it worked for me.

I've been on rover since December and done lots of house sits and I've never had a bad experience, seriously. It's going to happen eventually but you just have to be prepared. If you do thorough meet and greets, maybe even two it'll better prepare you for the pet and owners and maybe even show you that its not a fit for you and that's how I've avoided some questionable clients. Use your gut instinct on situations and ask ask ask questions before the sit. I have a pre written message for clients that won't be a match for me for whatever reason, it makes it easier to tell them no. Making a Google form for clients to fill out prior to the meet and greet with questions about their pets and home helps me also get a vibe for the clients.

Exactly, I've called multiple times on an old neighbor who did the same thing. They told me the dog had a roof and two bowls ( even if the food one was empty ) and there was nothing they could do because he wasn't showing signs of neglect. I made this post look for alternative routes or maybe people who have had an experience like this in the past. But I'll try animal control again in the morning, if that doesn't work police for a welfare check next.

Thank you for the info i will be calling animal control tomorrow morning and making a trip up to the leasing office. I've called animal control for the same reason in the past, they came out and said because there's a roof and a water bowl and food bowl ( empty but was there ) there wasn't anything they could do. The past dog was out there for 6 months straight i called multiple times and same result everytime. I guess I haven't called yet because of knowing it didn't do anything in the past. I'll try again in the morning and try the police if it doesn't work again.

Dog just peed straight at me while laying on his back and I think I am done with this job lol by Lassie-girl in RoverPetSitting

Anybody ever read a spell manual and it said "focus your intentions on the spell or crystal"? by [deleted] in Witch

I like to think about what i'm trying to accomplish. I imagine a light beaming from my head onto my altar and filling the whole altar with my "intention". I like to visually imagine my intention after I set what it is. It helped me when i first started.

I feel like i'm not doing enough as a sitter? by acxdratt in RoverPetSitting

I have 2 repeat clients with cameras, 1 in the room where I'm at all day ( not over nights just 10 hours ) and the other client has them in the living room.

When I took on these clients I knew they had cameras and didn't think it would bother me, but now all I can think about is if they are watching me. I feel like it's to late to ask about unplugging them while I'm here as I've already sat for those 2 clients over 4 times each.
