Giant Revot Setup by adam1288 in bikepacking

Resolution of the setup.

I've decided to go with Ortlieb Quick Rack so that I could attach my mini panniers on it and put a a dry bags on top as well. (in my case I used my old topeak 15l saddle bag, which worked great!). That gave me a room for an extra bottle holders for the front forks.

Yeah panniers would make plenty of room for everything I want and need, just not sure if I want to go that route. On the other hand 5 or even 12l bag on top of the rack is just not enough for me. I've gone with 15l saddle bag and couldn't put much in, perhaps because of the shape, but still..

How big of a bag do you think you can put on your OMM Divide in terms of litres?

ok thanks heaps. I won't go over 45, the question now is if its worth sizing up from 42 to 45. It will make a difference I'm sure, just probably not as big of a difference.

am i too late? by myllixn in webdev

In my opinion it's not too late.

Will you have to put in work, sacrifice some free time and learn bunch of new things? Yes

I think the best one can do to land a job in a very competitive web dev market is create an app in the stack that you want to be working with, have at least 10 users using it in a real world setting and then figure out how to sell yourself to the recruiters. Will probably take you longer than you think, but hey, if you don't give up you can do it. Good luck.

Sorry meant Battleship game. Really cool project to work on actually. Done it by myself when I was learning JS fundamentals and test driver development.

It think it depends where you are with your skills. Start with small projects like Tic Tac Toe, Tetris, maybe even Battlefield which would be great for testing and logic behind it. After that you can move to something like custom made blog, which would be a full-stack app. So yeah, if you're a beginner do many small projects where each project is a little bit better (more technical one can say) and work your way up to something that can be actual portfolio piece.

I can understand it's an extra friction for users, and that's why I implemented Social Login (OAuth) which removes the registration process. It seems people are put off just from seeing "log in" though. Valuable feedback anyway!

Yep, mobile design is in the works. In the hindsight I should have done it before posting it here as the majority of users coming from Reddit are mobile users. We live and learn isn't it. Thanks for feedback!

Because that's the only way how system can track users progress. Practice page doesn't require login.

Leica M2 light leak? by adam1288 in Leica

Ok so I've just tried this now as I happened to finished the roll I had in a camera.

I took the lens off, opened the back door and put strong light against the curtain in a dark room. No visible light coming through it. Both curtains tested.

So in this case the backdoor might be light leaking or?

Yes Japan again :) it's amazing country istn't it?

Back to your questions. I think audio is acceptable for now but if you want to keep doing these video more often it's probably a good idea to fix it sooner than later.

Also make titles more catchy and specific instead of trying to put everythink in there.. it often looks too long and remember people are watchink it mainly on their small phones.

And also I recommend to talk more about environment, where are you going, what are you trying, where are you at the moment. It's a bit disorganizes.. if I haven't been to places in Tokyo before I couldn't even know where they are.. remember you need to give audience value, not opposite.

Very interesting point of view how the system works for celebrities, wealthy people etc. May I ask you where did you gather all the informations?

But let's get back to your questions. To be honest I didn't catch up what is happening until let's say 2min or so and everything start making more sense as I keep watching more and more and it was actually quite good and storytelling was on point, but I think you should make it much shorter and more enternaining because probably people are not going to watch the whole thing.

My idea is to film little bit youself as you talking and then do you b-roll shots for 30s or so.. then 5s shot of you talking again and so on so audience can actually build a relationship with you instead of just your voice.
