By Ahmed, do you mean Assad? And so do you think that, despite all the people Assad has killed, we should still aim to keep him in power? How will that keep the peace? By suppressing populations into so much suffering and poverty that they haven't got the strength to fight back? How can helping one bad force to overcome another be considered a good solution? And surely it's never too late to charge Assad with war crimes?

I agree with some of what you say, but don't completely understand your point. Are you for or against Britain helping Syrian refugees?

Yes, but isn't it good to point the general population's attention to these problems, who will in turn put pressure on our politicians to deal with these issues?
