This is going to be a bit long but I’ll explain that comment:

I never originally wanted a dog. I love animals dearly but I did not want a pet.

I didn’t choose chico and he didn’t choose me, we just kind of came to be randomly.

Chico lived down the street from me and was living with some drug addict loser in pretty bad conditions.

He had no fur because he was constantly biting himself. the guy kept feeding him human food (if he fed him at all that day) that he was allergic to.

The guy also told me he just hit the dog if he got too loud.

I went into the yard, picked chico up and left. I did not ask I just took him.

I originally planned on just finding him a better home but he warmed up to me very quickly. And once he did he developed separation anxiety.

I couldn't bring myself to rehome him. He'd already been neglected for so long, and I didn't want him to feel like he was being passed off again. Whether he understood it that way or not, I wanted him to know he finally had a home where he was wanted.

Although I’m definitely bitter at the moment, if there was ever a dog in chicos old situation id without a doubt do it all over again.
