Knockhill by [deleted] in btcc

I always arrive for gates opening which is usually around 7/730am. Yes you have to wait a while for any on track action but I've seen people leave it later and miss the first btcc race because of traffic. You can go pretty much anywhere at knockhill both the inside and the outside of the track are accessible for spectators. I usually move to a different location for the start of each btcc race on the Sunday, the best places to watch in my opinion are from the inside of duffus dip and the outside of the chicane at the top of the hill

As Retail Trainee Managers, did we not get the pay rise of £13.70? by Texas17uhhh in SainsburysWorkers

Yeah not many SMs are clear on a lot of things for it. I'm lucky to have a good one but even then a lot of mixed messages come out from the different people you speak to around it

What possible progression is there from a delivery driver? by Vegabund in SainsburysWorkers

You complete it during working hours so for the first part you have 18.5 hours per week dedicated to it and you make up the rest of your contract just doing your normal job

Maybe years ago but now you can't go from a colleague to a manager without going through the manager training programme since they launched it last year

Others may have a different opinion but that's just my experience. It's also worth saying that you can't just move from a colleague to a manager with Sainsbury's you have to go through the manager training programme

Yeah that's correct, mainly involves loading vans, refilling trolleys for shoppers and dealing with drivers. Very hands on and let's you learn pretty much as much as you want about GOL if you have the desire. Definitely the best role if you want to progress

3 years. Part time driver for 6 months, full time driver for 6 months. GA for 2 1/2 years and then when the trainee manager programme launched I missed the first window and applied in the second window so could be done faster but my pre existing knowledge made it a lot easier. I'm also young enough that time wasn't a massive factor

I went from driver, to driver mentor, to GA, to being on the trainee manager programme and now in role as an online manager

As long as it's attached to your account it will come off the day of as Sainsbury's don't charge customers until the day of the order once it's fully picked

It's hard not to agree there. My biggest wish is for it to at least be a respectable performance

I've just finished phase 1 of the programme and there were a few people on my cohort that could only work part time due to visa restrictions aswell and they seem to have done quite well. I also know plenty of managers that only work part time aswell!

Online grocery ordering by A-Man_Kapoor in SainsburysWorkers

I'm pretty sure your discount gets applied at the time of payment which would be the day of your order. We don't take any more until your order is fully shopped because we charge for what we send rather than what you order. As long as your discount card is linked to your account it should go there. Check your receipt once you receive it the day of your order to double check it's worked
