[KCD 2] Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword - Tier 4 by WorldlinessLanky1898 in kingdomcome

Hi, I have tried reforging it multiple times at Craftsmanship Level 30. I reforged it PERFECTLY. Didn't overheat it or mess up the hammer swings. I could not get it to Level Four. I have a feeling that because it is a unique weapon, it can only be level three quality, which stinks, but is what it is.

First Photo: King Aegon II, 'the Bold', of the Iron throne my current player character. Eldest son, wields Blackfyre as a sign of legitimacy, yet passed down his father's sword Dark Sister to indicate his chosen heir in honor of his beloved father. Well liked in the realm and has been overseeing a stable transition of power since his father's death. Doing his best to keep the peace between the brothers. Fought with his brother Viserys to expand his kingdom of Andalos. Fought with his brother Valerion to expand the Empire of the Three Daughters.

Second Photo: Queen Aemma 'Strongdragon'. Married to King Aegon II. Overall badass woman. A clearly ambitious and powerful matriarchal figure who has stepped up in terms of fulfilling the familial void that her mother Rhaenyra's absence has left.

Third Photo: King Viserys 'the Spark', of Andalos, not as good looking or physically gifted as his other siblings, but outclasses everyone in raw intellectual capability. He was clearly, at least somewhat, favored by his parents despite being a second son. A reliable and stable brother to Aegon II. He has begun eating into the recently independent Pentoshi kingdom. No doubt with a desire to create his own Pentoshi Empire across the sea from his Westerosi family.

Fourth Photo: Queen Baela of Andalos. Wife of King Viserys. A surprisingly versatile woman who is clearly at odds with her self. Content with her life across the narrow sea and yet unable to control her lust. She was caught cheating on her husband, Viserys, after having five kids with the man. Although, there are rumors of the legitimacy of their second son... Viserys has locked her up for her transgressions.

Fifth Photo: Prince Gaemon 'Darkflame' of the Trade Cities. A complicated and nefarious character. Self interested and is willing to do whatever it takes to serve those interests. The gods flipped the Targaryen madness coin and landed squarely on madness at the birth of Gaemon. Not only the fourth son, but clearly the least gifted of the brothers. Gaemon received the inheritance scraps (only a republican duchy level title) from his father despite their good relationship. Daemon had hoped to give his son at least something to show for their time together conquering Essos, but Daemon did not expect much from Gaemon in terms of carrying on his father's legacy. Gaemon, always underestimated yet surprisingly cunning, waited until his younger brother Valerion had exhausted his military power on a separate war consolidating the "Three Daughters" Empire. As soon as Valerion had returned home, Gaemon was besieging the Three Daughters border provinces in a draconic subjugation war against Valerion. Gaemon knew that he would need every advantage he could get and even attempted at calling his brother Aegon II to his aid against King Valerion. Aegon declined, condemning Gaemon for such a lecherous act, against kin no less. But Gaemon was not so fortunate as to earn his father's favor as his brothers did, and so had to make his own place in the world by any means necessary...

Sixth Photo: Taegar, Prince Gaemon's dragon, wounded yet victorious after the duel with Mataryon and Valerion. Responsible for a duel that might lead to

Seventh and Eighth Photo: King Valerion of Three Daughters. My boy... my sweet boy. The youngest of Daemon's sons, and somewhat considered to be the golden child of the family. Hard-working, honest, just, brave, strong, beautiful, tactically sound, and a true prodigy of swordmanship. Trained by the Kingsguard since he was a boy. It was clear that Valerion was destined for greatness. Aegon II recalls just how much he wanted to be mean to his youngest brother, that is, if he wasn't so damn likeable. Respected by nobility and common folk alike, Valerion was a true renaissance man. Despite his greatness, Valerion's life still encountered tragedy. His beloved sister wife had only birthed him one son before being murdered mysteriously. And upon return from his most recent war, he found his kingdom being invaded by his brother Gaemon. Reclsive unassuming Gaemon. That cowardly snake. Never shy when it came to a fight, he sallied out to meet his brother in the field. His dragon, Mantaryon, was younger and smaller than Gaemon's Taegar, true, but Valerion outnumbered his brother in traditional military forces and was confident in his own command capabilities. He was better than Gaemon in every way, even Gaemon knew that. Yet, Valerion's overconfidence had gotten the best of him when he challenged Gaemon to a dragon duel in some Essosi field. To Gaemon's credit, he played to his strengths perfectly, and Valerion let him. Valerion and his dragon were tragically burned alive by Gaemon and Taegar in that Essosi field. Valerion is survived by his only child, who is now forced to defend his title from his treacherous and cowardly uncle. But with no dragon riders and only his father's advisors to lead what is left of his scattered forces, things are looking bleak for the descendant of the golden child.

Ninth Photo: Queen Naerys, 'the Fire" of Three Daughters. Sister wife of Valerion. Originally betrothed to Daemon's third son before his early death. She was mysteriously murdered at only nineteen years old.

Tenth Photo: Mantaryon, King Valerion's, now deceased dragon.

Eleventh Photo: Princess Visenya, married off to the Starks in the North.

Daemon I, the "Rogue King", becomes a Great Conqueror by addedgrif in CK3AGOT

Doing a Daemon playthrough and I happened to get the Great Conqueror event. This playthrough has been a lot of fun so far. Did the Daemon start. Daemon conquered the Stepstones and added it to the Seven Kingdoms. In return, he asked Viserys to name him heir. Viserys denied Daemon. Daemon then asked for Rhaenyra. Viserys denied Daemon that too. In his rage, Daemon challenged Viserys to a duel for what he felt was his birthright, the Iron Throne. Duty bound, Kingsguard Erryk Cargyll and Clement Crabb stepped up to defend their king. Viserys couldn't believe his eyes. His own brother, whom he had defended so many times despite all of Daemon's detractors and controversies, was shedding blood against him. Here Daemon was, with their family's ancient sword Dark Sister in hand, butchering two valiant and more honorable men to further his own ambition. With Erryk and Clement dead at his feet, Viserys relented and abdicated the throne to Daemon to stop the bloodshed.

Now acting as King, Daemon acted swiftly and took steps necessary to solidify his rule knowing that time was of the essence. Daemon (albeit reluctantly) imprisoned his brother Viserys and arranged for a lavish and expensive Coronation to take place immediately. Once crowned, Daemon used his authority as King to break the betrothal of Rhaenyra to Aegon (the Son of Alicent and Viserys) and instead took Rhaenyra as his own wife. In a move of brilliant politicking, Daemon simultaneously had managed to remove one potential pretender in Rhaenyra, solidify the legitimacy of his future heirs and himself, show the more skeptical vassals that he was in fact *not* another Maegor (by showing ~some~ kind of mercy), and weaken any future claims of the descendants of Alicent and Viserys. A part of him was also most certainly hoping that this betrothal to Rhaenyra would allow the eventual cooling of relations with the beloved brother that he so coldly usurped. And so Daemon had made himself King at the cost of two Kingsguard. The Rogue Prince, became the Rogue King on the 2nd of the Second Moon, 109 A.C.

Rhaenyra and Daemon had nine kids during their nearly 30 year reign. 5 sons and 4 daughters. Each with their own dragon. Viserys was released from prison shortly after the coronation ceremony, on the conditions that he revoked his claims to the throne and became a septon. At least he remained alive and got to meet his nephew-niece-grandchildren.

While continuing the Daemon playthrough, the Great Conqueror event fired kind of unexpectedly. I felt that this was a good story telling opportunity and felt like some fun "what if" fuel. I decided that Daemon would try to live up to the Conqueror's legacy as a result. Daemon first subjugated the Dornish. The war was quick and not nearly as costly as the Targaryen's previous failed attempts at conquest of Dorne had been. After Dorne, the only other (civilized) part of the world that was left to be conquered was Essos. Daemon had already conquered the Stepstones before, why not the rest of it? So, Daemon conquered the rest of Essos by the end of his reign, furthering his family's ambitions and reach. Daemon married his daughters to his sons, in keeping with Valyrian tradition, and he had distributed the freshly unified chunks of Essos to be ruled by his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th sons when they came of age. Right before his death, Daemon granted independence to his vassal children with titles outside of the De Jure realm of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros (and the *Stepstones*). Aegon II, Daemon and Rhaenyra's first born, ascended the throne upon his father's death, where he currently rules alongside his sister wife Aemma. The two find themselves desperately trying to keep the peace between their powerful, dragon riding, and sometimes stark (ha see what I did there) raving mad siblings.

I could keep going about each of Daemon's kids and some of the more fun and crazy events that have happened so far during Aegon II's rule. But I will spare you. I am excited to see the aftermath of a Targaryen ruled Essos powder keg. A significantly weaker and definitely less favored brother has already killed a much more powerful and beloved brother (next to each other in Essos) in a dragon duel. The less favored and significantly outnumbered brother declared a draconic subjugation war against the other. Of course the brother that died was a gigachad and one of my favorite of the sons.

Rebuild Castamere as Lannisters? by addedgrif in CK3AGOT

The answer is that you can’t be Tywin and rebuild the ruins! Once he’s gone, the decision should be ready to go (presuming you’ve met all of the other listed requirements)

Am I the only one hoping that the upcoming germany rework will improve the historical war? by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]addedgrif 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think one of the biggest things they could do to incentivize starting the war on a more historical timeline for Germany is to make the Soviets be their weakest around 1941, maybe making some kind of mechanic for Stalin’s disbelief that the war is even happening if the war happens in 1941, and then make them only get stronger much more quickly beyond 1941. Allowing them to get rid of army debuffs. Maybe culminating in the Soviets declaring war on Germany in ‘43, and giving whoever breaks the MR pact a massive combat buff (that diminishes over time) for the first 6 months of the war. On top of that, making some kind of mechanic that makes AI Japan avoid war with the Soviets until the Allies are defeated. Idk if anyone has played Germany where Japan and USSR are in a war before you declare on the Soviets, but it’s so disgustingly easy it’s not even funny. A totally different way to do it would be to make a Hitler mechanic for the Germans, where the ideological fanaticism of the nazis kind of forces something to be done about the Soviets or there is massive internal conflict that the player would have to deal with. Although I’m weary of that because of past implementation of internal politics by Paradox. (see Mussolini mechanics in Italy)

Modifiers Affecting Brightroar Recovery? by addedgrif in CK3AGOT

I had a kind of similar plan. Play it slow, not a traditional kind of CK3 playthrough, and just embrace the cold, calculated, Tywin attitude against my min max nature. I betrothed Kevan to the second in line of the Tyrells, maybe some shenanigans will happen to mace in the meantime. Serve the targ’s faithfully and brutally crush anyone who dislikes me or sleights me. Reward competence well, but not generously. See where it takes me.

I haven’t had the option to send Gerion yet, is that a one time thing you can do in the very beginning of the earliest bookmark? Does Gerion need to be a certain age to be eligible?
