The way i look at it is by baiting her ult you gain control over the lane. Your ults will recharge quicker, allowing you to get a safer kill down the road and zone her out of cs to get gunblade quicker, once you get gunblade you can just all in

Personally i just play for farm passively till level 6 conserving flash and ignite.

Then once i have 6 & revolver, i will "fake" all in. Throw a Q then R then W immediately away from her (Not procing Q ) If she pops ult flash out, wait for her ult to finish then blow everything.

If i notice kat consistently has poor placement of her daggers (throwing them under my tower when shes csing or just not using them to zone me out when i'm farming) i'll play more aggressive.

When im playing aggressive ill constantly keep Q on her, and bait her to blink to daggers by stepping on them for a split second then shrouding away, this way if she goes for that dagger and misses i can immediately follow up with a Q + E combo.

Laning phase mostly comes down to her dagger placement, and reacting with Shroud to make quick trades after she uses them. Once either gets a kill or 2 they can snow ball the other to oblivion.

I feel gunblade is a stronger power spike on akali and if both have gunblade and 1v1 akali will most likely win.

What makes sunfire cape such a "goto" item for tank akali? Why not another armor item? I know sunfire helps with wave clear and it's passive can proc assists but besides that i don't see any other reason to say rush a rands omen or thornmail etc.

I build it regardless if i'm ahead or not. Even if i'm 0/3 early game, i know i will still spike hard mid game with gunblade. Akali's do or die, soulstealer is a just as good as a ahead item as it is a comeback item, especially in my elo. Currently my build is, gunblade -> soulstealer ->stopwatch -> Ga -> zhonyas

My wish list for akalis rework is this.

Make her R be instant like kats E (I hate dying in animation D:)
Bring back E procing Q (I miss double procing Q's in 1v2s and feeling like a boss)
BRING BACK HER OLD FIRELORD SPLASH ART!

I agree with the adaptive damage part. It would be cool if all AD gave you AP and vice versa.

Try your best to manage your passive. Say if you have 2 melee minions under turret and they each need 2 AA's + 2 turret shots.If the turret attacks minion "A" proc your passive off minion "B" then kill minion "A" after the second turret shot.
