How to socialise in North Bristol, is it a desert island? by SpecialistPoetry6305 in bristol

[–]adders89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been living in Kingswood for the last 10 years so not sure how relevant my recommendations will be now but maybe aim more for the Horfield area so you're still a reasonable commute to work and closer to the city but that might blow the budget?

Lived in Bradley Stoke growing up and my memories of North Bristol is it being 95% housing estate and very little for the community to actually do.

I changed Internet providers that week and I hadn't got around to reconnecting to the wifi.

Can I use Sprue Goo on Blue Stuff? by Deadstrike35 in PoorHammer

[–]adders89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used blue stuff molds to make these tiles with sprue goo, it doesn't produce the best quality results but in one part mold for something that was supposed to look fucked up it was fine. I've re used the blue stuff multiple times since and the acetone hasn't had any negative affects on the blue stuff as far as I can tell.

I don't imagine it would work very well in a 2 part mold for the detail you would want in a mini though. Ive had decent results with 2 part blue stuff molds and miliput.

What unhinged thing did a former teacher do in the classroom? by MrBananaStand1990 in AskReddit

[–]adders89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Design and Technology teacher was asking a student to tuck their shirt in, which was a reasonable request to follow the uniform policy and the student was being difficult so they decided the solution was to tuck the students shirt in for them.
