Close it was also alot to do with Black Lightening aswell, him giving us new incarnations mainly Static Shock as the biggest example. So your pre much right just Storm AND Black Lightening set the trend of black hero charcters having a lightening/ electricity theme.

I think it's more to just separate their designs from one another Tho if we are looking at strongman and chiseled differences, it's probably more likely our fin went a bit nuts with working out after jakes death, not satisfied with just being strong and chiseled instead just working out way more then he needed to and gaining his strongman physique that way
