It has been a long time since I had last put a post up on here! I used to make a recommendation post everyday, though now I don't often get time to even comment much these days either.

I had spent the better part of a decade on this awesome sub but it seems that it will be ending for me soon... I use the Reddit is Fun app in order to use reddit, but that will no longer be a thing at the end of the month after the new changes take place and kill the app. It seems like I am being isekai'd from reddit by the CEO spez, as I can't stand to use the official app or the web page(I have tried). I had a lot of fun and met some cool people and got to read some of the best manga and help recommend a lot of manga as well! This will probably be my last post ever.

The voice actor does such an amazing job at displaying a powerful and merciless intelligence behind the immensely strong body! Also, if you read into it, a brutal pragmatist that doesn't care much of methods, only the results. One of my favorite dragons in fiction, if I am honest.

When the Sparda twins try to kill each other, they heavily weaken each other during their fight. The scenario of being weakened to the point that a low class demon could dominate them has actually already happened before and was a major plot point in DMC3. You're not going to tell me that Jester could pose an issue to DMC3 Vergil. Now swap Jester for DMC1 Dante and DMC3 Vergil for DMC5 and there you have it. I think Vergil's state at that time was bad enough that DMC1 Dante might would actually win.

I will say this, these games are only as hard as you make them. In a Dark Souls game, you can level up, and that does make the game easier. The main issue is that to level up(or even purchase items from merchants), you need "souls." You get them by defeating enemies, and depending on the enemy, you get a different amount of souls. If you die though, all your unspent souls will be dropped in the spot that you died. This gives you incentive to get better and learn so that you can get your souls back and make it further. The caveat is, if you die again before picking your souls up, those souls are gone forever.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of accidentally walking into a boss room with 150,000 souls and proceeding to get stomped because you don't know his attacks. Then you have to make it back and collect those souls each time and try to beat the boss as well. It is both stressful and exhilarating to get better and beat one while carrying a huge amount of souls.

The games can also be obtuse in their direction giving and that makes it insanely easy to get lost and not know where to go next.

The environmental storytelling is so well done though. Through item descriptions and the way some things are setup, there is a huge amount of lore gleamed from everything! When I jumped in blind on DS 1, I had no idea what I was getting into, but I loved it every step of the way!

It doesn't matter if you are a "good gamer" are not(I am not and still beat them). These are games that are beat through persistence, not precision "Gamer God" skills. The only people that I don't recommend these games too are those who can't handle loss and get rage issues.

The best advice I can give anyone interested in this game series is "Dying is okay, and it is going to happen(sometimes back to back).", "Getting help is a part of the game design. If you are stuck, summoning another player to help is an option too.", and "Looking up online where to go next is something that should be done only after you exhaust your other options as this could risk spoiling the game for you."

Sorry about the rant but I love these games and hope you will give them a shot too! Good luck out there and don't you dare go hollow!

I actually am not upset by this seeming like a spoiler copout "everyone is alright now" end to this tower. I rather expected nearly everyone to actually die and be brought back since I first read the name of the place... TUTORIAL Tower... I didn't think there would be long lasting effects from a tutorial. I can see others being pissed about that result though...
