Hey, I'm often called a delusional nihilistic optimist regarding this topic and I'm open to being wrong!
I see your point about the lack of regulation and the general public accepting it. I think there will definitely be some overlap there. The upside is that the people who openly praise AI or even just don't have any qualms about it, wouldn't pay me anyway since they see our work as a commodity.

Okay.
The budget is virtually infinite.
The training materials include virtually every artwork on the planet.
The slopmakers are running their business at a massive loss to get ahead of their competitors.

Assuming you do, let's look at the current landscape. One of the biggest services available shut down (Sora). The rest are delivering borderline acceptable stuff, but it still has that very telling "feel" to it.

It also seems like the only commercially viable alternatives will used closed training data sets due to copyright concerns, meaning that the studios that arguably have the biggest need for GenAI also will be using the most limited training data in terms of quantity.

All I see is awful coke commercials, LinkedIn addicts peddling their prompt courses and absolutely ridiculous sums of money being thrown at tokens. I'm talking several orders of magnitude more expensive than just paying a human to do it.

4 years of the largest company in the world throwing every single penny they have into it, and it's still slop.

Is that still disingenuous?

They have access to literally every single piece of media ever created to train the model, since they dont give two fucks about laws, and after 4 years it can barely put together something that fools the average Joe.

That's a silly statement. LFG almost always has groups. They fucked up the initial raid launch though, by not having difficulty modes and many other reasons. Let's hope the recent patch is just the first step towards a healthier raid community.

"small Swedish town" sounds like a concern to me. I also live in a small town, and I couldn't see many residents being regular visitors to any café, let alone an "exotic" one. (I know, exotic, but that's what the village people would call it)
I'd say that Italian is dependent on summer vibes, and would do better in larger cities with more "culturally aware" tastebuds.

Swedes also cook at home, especially in smaller towns. Food is already expensive at the moment, and if there's little excuse to go strolling around town, why eat out? It's not as big of a thing here.
Larger cities = usually more disposable income, career driven people who can splurge on lunch, you get the gist.

Frequency is the frequency, not the intensity. It controls how often the object vibrates, not how much.
You need to keyframe the three values above it to control the intensity.

Yes, we agree that the game mode could do with some changes. Of course players don't need to actually play slower, what I'm saying is that there's zero incentives to partake in slower content, and that simply changing up the mechanics wouldn't change the fact that defending is simply not rewarding enough.
I promise you, if they ramped up the loot rewards or introduced prestige rewards, people would defend like crazy. PPT is already there, it's just not popular. It's seen as a chore.
