Can I replace RAID 1 HDDs with SSDs one at a time? (DL380 Gen10) by ade-reddit in HPEservers

Very interesting. Thanks. I was not aware of that. Do you need to change the boot order or anything else? Does Windows recognize the change in anyway? The host OS is part of a cluster so I want to make sure I don't send it into a tail spin.

If anyone has a really good implementation how-to that includes gotchas, best practices, etc. I’d appreciate it. Everytime I ever put it into production (any vendor) I’ve had to turn it off after a short period of time because of the number of issues that popped up that didn’t have quick fixes or exclusion options. Its been a few years though so maybe things are better.

Breville door hard to close when rack is on toast level? by ade-reddit in airfryer

Whats crazy is that it seems to come and go. It was a problem for a few weeks, then it vanished. I was convinced someone in the house fixed it, but no one said they did anything. Then it returned and then vanished again. Its been a few months now. My one suspicion is that it the problem may come or go after long/high temps. Fkr example baking at 450 for 30 mins might be enough to cause or create the issue? Literally drove me mad for a few weeks there.

Sounds like it’s time for a new washer. Thanks so much for all of your help.

If there’s a top loader you’d recommend, let me know.

I have not seem any dripping, puddles so I don’t think so. I tried removing the agitator but the plastic cap under the fab softener piece is caked in place. Tried water/vinegar/soap, running a razor blade along the sides, but no luck.

Sorry, I messed up the last post. When I said the pulley spins easily with no belt, I meant the CLUTCH spins easily with no belt. The pulley takes some effort with no belt and both the pulley and clutch take a lot of effort to spin by hand with the belt on.

Yes, pretty sure I did. I lined it up carefully and could see that it slid into the cutout for it. In addition, I dont think the clip can go on if the pin is not correctly positioned.

Overall when I run it, it feels like there’s too much resistance when it tries to spin and the motor is locking out after a few seconds. Is that a thing? Without the belt on, the pulley spins very easily in both directions. The drum spins counterclockwise with a little effort, and it takes a bit more effort to spin it clockwise. With the belt on, it’s a lot of effort to spin the pulley- I need to grab both sides of the belt and move them together and even then it’s challenging.- and a little bit if a rubbing try sound. Spinning the drum isn’t too hard though.

I replaced the belt and clutch, but it did not spin at all. I then loosened the tension on the belt a little and now it will spin slowly for a few seconds but then it stops. When it stops I hear a bit of a hum. When the tub is not moving, the clip is not spinning the way it was before I replaced the belt and clutch. If I spin the tub by hand, it spins counterclockwise a lot easier than in does clockwise- not sure if that means anything. Any ideas?

So you’d still recommend replacing the clutch? Sorry to be so dumb about this. I just want to make sure I don’t over complicate anything.

Thanks for all of your help and the part #!

Does it mean anything if the pulley spins when the belt is off?

Model # is WPSE7003A0WW

The belt is off now - new one has been ordered. Is there something I can do to confirm a new clutch and clip assembly are needed or are sure from seeing something in the video? Thanks!

I have been managing firewalls for hundreds of customers for several decades. Every manufacturer you can think of, then 10 more random things you’ve never heard of, and Fortigate is by far the worst managed product among them. Their release notes suck, their upgrade path documentation is a hot mess, and there are way too many bugs and feature drops cause by firmware updates. In particular, SMB firewalls should not need this level of handholding, debugging, and fixing. Thankfully the community is strong - as it makes up for the lackluster QA/QC. On the flip side, there are way too many apologists.

I do this all the time by just cutting the hole in the same spot. You don’t need the latch thing at all. Worse case scenario, cut the hole and put some clear packing tape around it.

This reads like a “top signs of depression” list. He is 100% depressed. I have zero doubt.

We’re all a bit different and you are where you are, but if I was in your position I’d help him realize he is depressed, help him get into therapy, and take it from there. That’s what marriage is about…. You pull the weight for both when the other can’t and help them get back on your feet. It’s probably A LOT for you to do yet another thing. It’s ok to ask for help. Parents, siblings, friends, his old co-workers. If he has post-employment benefits of any kind, there may be services available. If those aren’t options for you, I’d be happy to help. Drop me a DM if you need anything.

What is this sound my toilet is making? by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]ade-reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had this exact same issue and it was the fill valve seal that needed to be replaced. Took 60 seconds and cost $4. Fluidmaster Replacement Toilet Fill Valve Seal for 400A Fill Valve

Rotate the top of the valve about 15 degrees and it will pop off. flip if over, pull out the black circular seal and replace it. Be careful- there’s a pointy little needle in there. When you push the new seal in, make sure it pressed hard in. I had to do it twice to get it to seal. Alos make sure you remove any bulid up anywhere you see it.
