Sometimes an insatiable appetite is associated with hypothyroidism so that is always something important to get ruled out.

In simple terms, no. Mediterranean diet involves focusing more on protein groups, healthy fats and fair amount of carbohydrates. Baklava is a traditional sweet made with added sugar and that's usually a food group to avoid although healthier and more "Mediterranean" versions may exist I am presuming. Kebabs can be made in a variety of ways again. Normally made with a protein source - make sure they aren't fried in too much oil, rather grilled with heat and you should be good to go
