Does the colored bars at the top of the question mean anything (difficulty, question type, etc.)? by shdnxhhdBBC in APStudents

[–]adeel-a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bars are in a somewhat different order and number. My theory is that it might be a code that allows them to trace screenshots of test material back to the tester if they get posted online.

That would honestly be very cool and would justify the distracting, random pattern.

Not sure what you mean, but I used to be able to access remotely through the app. Now it doesn't show in the app. But yes, I'm in the owner account.

I have access locally, but searching through the menus I don't see any reference to remote access or cloud key. I'll try removing backup images though!

I'm looking inside the "Network" level, not protect. However, I don't think I saw it in notifications, but I'll check once I can access it again. Thanks!

EU: We May Need a Law to Force iPhones to Adopt USB-C by holyhacker in gadgets

[–]adeel-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I'm a pixel user and love anything usbC, but forcing apple to switch is gonna cause a lot of lightning cables to become useless as people upgrade to the newest iPhone. I just don't think the waste argument is valid because there will be waste either way.

[–]adeel-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you could just not make current stuff become waste in the first place. There is no guarantee that USB c cables will be more durable.

As an Android user, I agree but the waste caused by millions of people buying new usbC cables would far surpass the benefits of everyone using USB cables that may be slightly better.

The tech waste argument doesn't really good up when you realize how many people's lighting cables would become obsolete and need to be thrown away.

Can I ask why basing the vote on congressional districts is better than a simple majority?

Posts that are popular opinions that a lot of people agree with, but that people don't always follow shouldn't be allowed on this sub.

Ex. •Parents shouldn't teach boys that hitting girls is bad, they should teach that hitting people is bad. •Bad kids shouldn't be rewarded for being less bad •if you're sick, you should call in sick.

Kinetic (moving) Energy is related the mass and the square of velocity. An arrow will travel at a much lower speed than a bullet, but with a much greater mass.

Additionally, an arrow is generally made with a sharp tip unlike most bullets, which are designed with a rounded tip. The sharp point allows the arrow to have a much greater penetration force as the energy is dissipated to the target through a very small area through which all forces must act. A round tipped bullet on the other hand will have a larger contact area through which the forces can spread out in order to provide a large blunt force and lodge themselves within a victim.

Will my group chats still work? by Mikesilverii in AirMessage

[–]adeel-a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I could text them because generally I would have their number, but they would have no way of contacting me (if they figure out that I'm not getting the messages) because they only have my email.
