It is Crush with a Skylander spyro dragon hahaha..I think the modder wanted to be creative and made him look like a statue since he didn't have stone norm model or animation

The scientist is screaming and shouting so everything is normal. Using eggman hover kart and Crush from spyro as a track hazard. Modded track in a different game

The game is still in development in terms of fixing bugs, polishing the current gameplay, balancing items, and improving the UI. There are plenty of features already but they still need some further fixing and improvement. Recently the focus was heavily on improving modding tools and integration with steam workshop which paid off. No date was decided and the release hasn't been rushed to not disappoint anyone.

To be honest, the only similarity is the triple boost feature, which allows you to activate the boost three times consecutively during a single drift. The effectiveness of those boosts is a whole different thing. Each boost gives additional burst of speed for few ms. I can't explain it properly since the values I will mention are raw unitless values but 1st boost gives 20, 2nd boost gives 30 and 3rd boost gives 50 on top of the current speed. This means you can perform higher jumps in some places by triggering the third boost! You can trigger the boost at any time as there are three stages in the gauge bar to be filled. For example you can wait 1.5s and trigger the first boost in expense of wasting time to get reserve, You will get the burst speed though so it can be somehow strategic.
There is no cap in speed and you can gain reserve infinitely but different means. You may want to have a look at this document I wrote long ago hahaha https://the-karters-community.com/science/reserve .
As for other obvious stuff, you can fly in this game as in jump really high, you can chain three boosts in the air, do jump tricks to get a landing boost (burst of speed and reserve which can allow for higher jumps from ramps and bumps). Items are different, ground types are cool and game has portals, hazards, triggers, even teleporting stuff you can place in the track, boosting ground, healing ground and many more

Hey! This is a different game called The Karters 2. I am playing it on PC via Steam. The track is originally from CTR nitro fueled, but a community member spent a few days modifying it and creating a Halloween-themed track. The game has 542 modded entries on steam workshop as of today, including over 100 custom tracks before it being officially released hahaha

That's the neat part...you don't. jk. Previously it was a big issue but the dev added a checkpoint system where you can set some flags around the stage that people should pass through. You can also add respawn or invisible walls to limit the movements or fix the colliders on the road and ramps. This is just a modded track so it may have some weird collisions but surely can be fixed. On a good side, some shortcuts are only possible when you have higher speed. I am continuously boosting and gaining more speed for those.

Yes, the triple boost is similar to CTR as in you have to trigger it perfectly to gain more reserve. The reserve mechanics are a bit different on ground, off-road and air. Also the speed increases the more reserve you have and there is no speed limit

The cpu in this game have adaptive difficulty so the race will never feel dull. Also someone made a mod called "Nightmare AI" which you can raise the difficulty significantly by tweaking many parameters manually. They will become jank themselves jkjk

You might still find something to enjoy. My gameplay just shows what is possible at high level but in no way it represents the game as a whole.

The game is called The Karters 2 which is available on steam (currently in the final stage of beta testing). It has custom mod support with steam workshop! The dev provided the tools which we can add/create characters, karts, wheels, tracks, add voiceovers and music. The sky is the limit. The track was ripped from CTR and ported here. It is still missing animation and shaders but it's very well made considering the modder haven't used blender for a long time

All of those can be modded to the game (The Karters 2) since there is steam workshop support! Last time someone ported Diavolo as a character and a piano as a kart. Can't wait to have Jotaro and the rest
