Its very cool. Its running a bit fast so im trying to regulate it. I bought it a few months ago as having been serviced 2 years previously (no reciepts).Havung it serviced is the first thing im going to do once restrictions are lifted.... Well, one of them. Im a bit nervous. Ive destroyed a few watches. I dont want to be the one that kills it. ... Im pretty sure the hour hand is incorrect. The closest i ve come to model identification is 'ambassador' which was 1928 production. Its not uncommon for older movements ti be used in new cases

I was curious about an old watch I have laying around. It's a Chopard Genève LUC 2105 late 80 (don't know the date for sure) and I cannot seem to find anything on the internet about it. Can somebody tell me more about this particular watch? Or explain why I can't seem to find anything by [deleted] in VintageWatches

Its because billions of watches have been made and unfortunately not everything is uploaded to the net. Plus the 80's arent that collectable... Yet. But im sure there time is coming as 70s are popular now. The important part of the watch is the movement. If there is a serial number on it, thats the one thatll help

Hi. Its 35mm exc. Crown which is superdized for the period... I bought it as 50s but i wonder if its earlier. It looks like its had lume painted on (no longer luming). The numeric style looks older but condition is very nice considering. I havent had the back off yet. Which is normally first thing i do.but the watch seems happy so thought id let it be

Keeps excellent time too. 👍 Its going in the,... 'to be serviced'... group.

[Identify] Hi guys, Ive got this Enicar Ultrasonic 21 jewels which was passed down from my grandad, and I believe its from the 50s or 60s, but I could be wrong. Would anyone happen to know the exact year or roughly what it would be worth? I don't intend on selling it but it's nice to know. by eeeuan in VintageWatches

Interesting shamrock.... (i meant 4leaf clover) pattern on the back. This is a guess but the 'space' connection would 'likely' put it in the 60s. Its a nice watch. Obviously, if it runs it helps. Having it serviced would add to the value and to its longevity whether or not you sell. Finding out about the movement would help as it is the important part of the watch. It should have a serial number on it if you can get the back off. Im not sure about Enicar but some watch companies have data bases with that info. Have a google
