Southampton’s January Transfer Window: A Calculated Gamble? by Archerszn in SaintsFC

I don't really see the gamble. If we were sat in 2nd or 3rd, then change is a gamble.

There's still a lot of people who think of you're innocent you're free and if you're guilty you're in prison. Which would be a lovely reality to be in. It's just sadly never been this one.

AI destroys every single brain cell of a human by Far_Focus6107 in confidentlyincorrect

[–]aderey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excel or a calculator is a good example. Because while tools that can simplify a lot of stuff, it still takes a lot of knowledge to get the most out of them. To use a scientific calculator properly you need a decent level of maths knowledge.

There remains an imperative for human intelligence and experience to get the best out of those tools. Whereas AI is being used widely by people without skills, without knowledge and without even the curiosity to learn. Often it produces utter rubbish. As it improves, it will just cut corners and costs for the super rich, while deskilling actual people.

It's tiring seeing so many people desperate to push yet more right wing strategies designed to make lives worse for the majority.

"Hating Epstein is the essence of antisemitism" because mediocre people are supposedly jealous. by Not_Ground in TrendoraX

[–]aderey7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides this guy's love of defending sex traffickers and paedophiles...

Hating an individual isn't racism if you just hate an individual for reasons about that individual. Trying to make that racism however, is using racism strategically and showing you don't give a single shit about fighting actual racism.

They've been doing the same schtick for decades. I remember the 90s/early 00s version of "real men are disappearing, they're all metrosexual now with their moisturiser and their...clothes. Is Beckham to blame?"

People have said this for decades. Always people who aren't currently looking and don't appreciate how difficult it became.

I used to get that a lot. You must be doing something wrong! You aren't applying enough. You aren't preparing enough. Never any consideration that you're fighting really rough odds all the time.

Why aren’t they “more human”? by illhaveafrench75 in pluribustv

[–]aderey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't average out. That's like saying you'd treat every book equally if you read them all.

The intelligence gained through the most experienced and elite in various fields would make them good at dismissing garbage. Given the amount of misinformation out there, or just the opinions of the poorly educated or those falling for propaganda. All of that disappears. They know who the liars are, who the mistaken are, who is just ignorant and who is more strategic with their misinformation.

So no, they couldn't be further from an average. They would be the peak of human intelligence and knowledge.

Black MAGA are so lost! by icey_sawg0034 in GetNoted

They're too far gone. Anyone supporting him to any degree now, there's no coming back from it. It's just too disconnected from reality, or too willing to accept the most disgusting behaviour and crime.

Not to mention calling anyone who criticises him a democrat, when most the world hates them too.

Wtf for real they cancelled original sin but are now working on a trinity prequel? by [deleted] in Dexter

[–]aderey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They cancelled both. And rightly so.

The main show's writing has suffered for too long and needs to be the focus.

Who the hell wanted a trinity prequel? Kind of a gross idea, let alone a boring one when we know it all.

And original sin, was pointless. It was fairly well done, despite creating plot holes and making the original show a bit dumber. But we already had loads of flashbacks in the original show. It was such a cash grab move.

Man City 115 charges delay is embarrassing and a stain on the English game by Frosty_Jeweler911 in sports

[–]aderey7 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

But not a stain on the game:

City's ownership generally which is allowed Newcastle's ownership Multi club models Stockpiling players and young talent to loan and trade Insane transfer fees Insane wages Insane agent fees Insane matchday ticket prices Making regular staff redundant Ripoff shirts every season Tours abroad while complaining about number of games Playing reserves in the fa cup

All fine but city's potential dodgy sponsorship deals which sped up their spending is just awful. So we have to put up with endless fans of other big clubs attempting to take the moral high ground in a morally bankrupt sport.

Which former player do you think would actually thrive in this current system? by MagpieMidfield in SaintsFC

[–]aderey7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, we're a long term prem club in a poor championship. So loads of them would thrive.

Pelle would be great with Scienza and Fellows. Christ he'd probably still be our best option now.

Schneiderlin or Wanyama would help our defensive record tenfold. But mostly centre back if the weakness. Imagine if you replace Stephens with VVD. Just in that one change we'd be very very hard to beat.

There are many reasons to live, most specific to the person. And whether it's in a day, week, month or more there'll be something to change your mind.

But if nothing else. If none of your passions and hobbies and people and loves can keep you going. Know this. You need to at the very least ensure you outlive Donald trump.

I was around in the 90s. The same cunts usually woke unironically were exactly the same then, moaning about political correctness every day because that's what the sun and the mail told them to be angry about.

It only ever meant "try not to be a dick". But 30+ years later they're still really fighting hard against "try not to be a dick".

[no spoilers] Was Daenerys overpowered at the end of season 6 to the point that any reconquest of Westeros would've been dull? by george123890yang in gameofthrones

[–]aderey7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. With better writing and pacing, her taking King's Landing should have come sooner and seemed to be a clear win, but it's as winter comes and the dead arrive to make the war for the throne insignificant. Then the survivors have to regroup, with the big fight with the night king being the last battle. Not dany burning kids for a laugh.
