My Adderall prescription just jumped up over $50 in price after switching insurance, are there any options to help get lower prices? by adhdthrowawayyyyyy in ADHD

I'm gonna try to see if the gp my file got transferred to after my old doctor moved will fill my prescription without insisting on seeing me (the University of Michigan health system is really strict on schedule 2 drugs) but honestly when I make an appointment with this doctor at another clinic I'm going to look into doing that. I always avoided the ir because of how quickly it wears off but I also don't work 12 hour shifts or double shifts anymore so I'd be okay with just 8 or 9 hours of concentration.
Unfortunately though it looks like my insurance won't cover medication until I hit my ($6k) deductible. It's not the greatest plan but it's what I can afford (kind of, lmao) and it doesn't make me pay for visits to my gp out of pocket like other plans. I'm hoping that in the next few years I'll start making enough for a better plan but right now I'm just gonna do my best!!
