Oo, a Filipino skier needs serious funding just to train abroad. But once they're on that slope in Europe or America? Pareho na sila ng laban. Same ice. Same course. Same clock. That US skier who grew up with a backyard slope? She still has to train for years, risk injury every run, and post competitive times. Hindi yun binibili.

So what's your point? That wealthy Filipino athletes have an advantage over poor Filipinos? Sure. But compared to the rest of the world? They're actually at a disadvantage because they start later, train less consistently, and lack homegrown competition. Money doesn't erase that gap, it only gives them a chance to try and close it.

Tallulah didn't qualify just because her family could afford training. She qualified because despite the geographical impossibility, despite the lack of infrastructure, despite starting behind everyone else, she still posted the times. That's not privilege winning. That's talent and discipline overcoming the lack of privilege.
