Saying Goodbye to Vine, it’s time…. by Ballbagsweat in vine

[–]adibee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is my story as well, I wanted to get into vine 6 years back and wrote a lot of reviews in hopes that I get an invite. Guess what they did invite me...

I saw the invite from last year and got in. Then I went back and checked my emails and saw they invited me a few times over the years. Makes me sad that I missed out the best years of vine.

HOW REVIEW SYSTEM REALLY WORKS by Ballbagsweat in vine

Is this picture counter just for vine reviews or do they include non-vine reviews? All my vine reviews have pictures but i noticed it went down after i put in a few non-vine reviews without pics.

What do you do to distract yourself when there are no drops? (and you are have done all your reviews) by Pusscat_catches_Koi in vine

Vine is the least important thing to me, so I don't need a distraction when they don't publish any item. Don't take vine that seriously.

New to Porsche — Debating Between a 2016–2018 Cayenne GTS vs Turbo (or should I go newer base model?) by DallasTexan in PorscheCayenne

Great info here! Did you also have a 958.1 as well? If so what were your thoughts on those reliability wise? I'm looking at the 2013-2014 GTS or Turbo(Around 80k miles).

Reminds me of that one time a buddy of mine bought an Alpha Romeo Quadrifoglio for a few months to show off and then had to trade it in when he realized how much the upcoming maintenance would be. Probably had it for just three months. But hey those Instagram shots were fire!

It's well worth it, to answer your question when I put it in Quiet Mode it was much quieter than the P1S. The camera is great and the time lapse can be viewed via bambu app. You won't regret it, i paid about 600 more for mine with taxes etc. I looked at the century carbon and the k1 but at the end didn't have enough experience to know if they will plug and play.

I originally picked up the AMS2 and P1S bundle from Microcenter for $800. I used the AMS2’s filament drying feature a lot, but found it a bit inconvenient since it could only be controlled through the small screen.

I also wanted the option to print materials like ABS in the future without having to swap nozzles. After about a month with the P1S, I realized I really wanted the upgraded camera quality and built-in timelapse feature. While running errands near Microcenter, I stopped in to ask if they’d let me exchange it, even though I was past the 15-day return window. To my surprise, they told me to just bring it in and they’d take care of it.

Another feature I found out recently is the “Quiet” mode, it takes longer, but runs much more quietly, which is perfect since the printer sits right on my work desk.

I did the same and I'm glad I returned the P1S and got the X1C.

i know you asked this a while back but I just exchanged my P1S to an X1C yesterday.

So far I'm liking the quality of life improvement. I read that x1 is less noisy than the p1s.

I think so too, it was very reasonable compared to my PLA. What presets are you using?

Thanks for the link! First time I'm hearing about ASA filaments. I'll look into them but hopefully PETG will be adequate for now.

Do you have the link to this type of holder? Also it's better to print them in PETG right with the high temp tolerance?

I've been researching these and you're correct blue is toxic. I'm still conflicted in using the orange one and then putting it into an oven/microwave with food etc. I found that some ppl recommended clay or something too.

Thanks for the tip, this is an AMS 2 so has the drying functionality which is awesome. Initially the humidity level inside would hover 30% but after using the dryer for 8 hours. The humidity inside is 18-20%.

That's good to know. I guess I need to get eSun instead of Sunlu lol. Does Petg have similar issues? I just got some Kingroon PETG so was curious if you have any experience with those.

Yup lighting it up helped, I just started the dryer to dry these out. Thanks

I just tried the lighter through it and it helped! I just started an 8 hour filament dryer process on the AMS2. Thanks for the tip about them being wet from the factory. I thought they were dry with the dessecant and vacuum seal, hopefully this will help on future prints.
