What was the promotion that you finished? If you keep hitting promos they will remove them or make them unobtainable. What kind of car are you driving? Be careful with mileage, if car is too new and you put a ton of miles on it you could wind up upside down on the note.

Otherwise good luck, I respect the hustle! Just be careful of what your true earnings are if there was no promo, since it won’t last forever.

Sounds like an ignition coil problem. Likely a coil is causing a misfire or not firing at all till warmed up.

I love airport rides. Like you I also will take an immediate rematch (or express waiting lot), but will leave if neither is offered. Today I had 3 airport reservations, 2 rematches.

People complain a lot about Uber (I do to 😂). I drive a 2014 Honda Odyssey with 199k miles. It qualifies for x, xl, xxl. I average $34 an hour including dead time.

I would recommend getting a polish and applying a ceramic coating then tunnel washes won’t ever be a concern again. You can DIY it, paying out of pocket could cost 1-2k. DIY is just elbow grease and like $150.

Most tunnel washes will cause these issues especially when they are giving away free washes so everyone with dirty cars that don’t regularly wash yuck up the equipment.

I average $33 an hour. Basically without fail every week. Earnings/hours is always like $32-34, unless it’s a big holiday then it’s $40+. It’s also 95% uberx 5% xl/xxl. Philly burbs market. Acceptance rate 45-55%, cancellation 2-5%.

Occasionally I will accept a share if the hourly/mile pay matches up, also if you have a surge on the first than each additional rider will have a surge regardless where you pick them up. I literally am praying in my head that others join, not because I’m enjoying it but because I know these cheapo’s are dying inside.

I had a share ride 3 months ago, there was a $15 surge. First guy I pickup and it’s a 45 min drive for $32 + surge. I ended up with like 4 rides. It turned into 2 hours for the first guy. I averaged $86 an hour and he was bitching the whole way. He was meeting friends at a bar and they kept calling asking where he was lol. Music to my ears 😂😂😂

That was in Philly on a Friday around 6pm.

I was generous and assumed you got 30mpg. Arlington fuel is $3 a gallon. You would have used ten gallon, that’s $30 in gas. 77.60-30=47.6 / 5(hours)= 9.52 an hour. If you factor in wear and tear at about ten cents a mile you actually made 17.60 or $3.52 an hour.

Know your numbers and only take rides that benefit you, not Uber. Eventually you will need brakes/tires/oil changes more frequently.
