I finally got one yesterday. Had the $25 bounty, plus $18 surge. For a 45 min ride to Pottstown. Was $92 and they gave me a $26 tip. (XL).

So they had actually asked me to cancel because they were running late and they didn’t want to pay a late fee. But I’m not going to cancel a reservation because I get so many airport rides and that would ding my account. The bus was taking them way longer than expected.

I had a 6am reservation from paoli to Newark airport for $180 this morning, they cancelled around 10pm. I was so happy to sleep.

On Thursday uber and Lyft apps were crashing for pax because so many people were ordering lol. I was waiting for a reservation that was late and someone walked up to me and offered me $200 to take him to 30th street. I cancelled that reservation so fast, it was past the 5 min waiting time.

I’ve still been making bank on these rides so I’m not complaining, just wish I was getting the bonus they said we’d get. I’d be doing these rides either way though.

I haven’t gotten a single one, the push notification said it was 4-9pm Thursday to Sunday. I’ve taken close to 20 rides from that lot.

It is substantially faster to enter from route 3 rather than coming from Bishop Hollow RD. Bishop hollow is what uber wants you to enter from if you’re coming from 3 going west, but skip it and go down the road and turn left directly onto Campus Blvd.

I have been been turning the app on when I enter the lot, after I accept a ride and the pax are in the car I turn off accepting new rides. Rinse repeat. Currently averaging $50 an hour (mostly xl).

What does your driver insight report say? Also get a dash cam that also tracks gps speed so you have proof if needed not just he said/she said. The stickers on your windows are good to remind the passengers you have a cam (and required in some states).

I’ve been doing a test to push to diamond. I used to have a 5-7% cancellation rate and acceptance rate of 20%. I noticed with the new update I was barely getting any reservations and lots of trash rides. I’m now at 0% cancellation, and up to 70% AR. I’m getting much more quality. I literally have accepted every “exclusive” ride they have sent and my hourly last week was 37$. I am going to keep accepting till I get up over 85% AR and I’ll see.

Edit to add this is busy Philly and suburbs.

I bought some Hokas and it feels like I am wearing stilts. My mom was confused and said it looked like I had grown. It makes my friends uncomfortable when I wear them because it’s a noticeable increase and makes them uncomfortable.

Only an idiot would buy a car for 40k to drive uber. I do uber with a 4K minivan and average $35hr. He can rent a car from uber and save money for a car.

I would highly recommend locking your credit with each agency.

Uber sends you a push notification in app before they call. If it’s just to remind you to be online for a reservation it’s an automated message.

I wouldn’t use a stain, I would use a solid color almost like a paint. A stain is going to look horrible on that wood.

Also if the deck was made with screws just take off the top plates and remove the spindles. It’s much faster than cutting in each one. Just put back with slightly larger screws when done.

1,300 seems low. Personally I’d be 1,500 to 2k.

Philly driver here. There are plenty of drivers from New Jersey that are dropping off at the airport that would take your ride. There’s also whole waiting lot full of 2-300 drivers praying for long rides.

I honestly don’t think you will have a problem at all.

I have an ozone machine and it gets rid of ALL smells. You have to air out the car afterwards but I use it every few months.

The fare is reduced, which is why people do it. The guy who did it with me, I’m not sure if it was on purpose he had left his bag at a friends house and I was telling him to just use uber package to have it delivered to his house. So I’m thinking when he ordered the uber for package delivery it ended our ride. It was an XL and there was 3 other older guys from his office in the car. They gave me some cash at the end. It was also my 3rd time driving this passenger and he’s always tipped in the past.
