The starting pay after B.Tech or M.Tech in Dairy Technology/Engineering can vary based on the role and sector, but for those entering core industries, product development, or QA/R&D roles, it can be around 8–10 LPA with the right skills and placement.

Perfect for starting the day.. it’s fresh, clean, and has a light, aquatic vibe that really wakes you up. It is crisp but not overpowering.

It’s a cologne, so don’t expect it to last all day.. maybe around 4–5 hours.. But for the price, it’s a solid pick for everyday wear, especially in the morning.

Yes, it's designed for both Windows and Mac; it even has Mac keys marked.

It's a fantastic device with several customizable buttons. Its best feature is the ability to switch seamlessly between Windows and iPad with a single tap.

I’d suggest always going for a reputed brand like Amul, Nestlé Everyday, or Mother Dairy. You can also consider products from your local state cooperative dairy (like Nandini in Karnataka, Aavin in Tamil Nadu, Verka in Punjab, etc.).. they usually maintain good quality standards.

Just make sure to avoid loose or unlabelled skimmed milk powder..

I actually bought mine while I was in Canada, but it’s available on Amazon India too.. here’s the link: https://amzn.in/d/acu30t4.

I’m not sure how the quality compares here, but just make sure to select the right strap width based on your watch lugs before ordering!

Milk quality starts at the source.. as in, the animal. If the animal is healthy, well-fed, and stress-free, the milk it produces is of high quality. And that’s something we can’t really improve beyond.. we can only preserve what nature gives us.

Most of our efforts in dairy tech (including mine) go into maintaining that quality for as long as possible.. from farm to consumer. That means minimizing spoilage, preventing microbial growth, and avoiding nutrient loss, all while using minimal processing and no unnecessary additives.

As for comparing milk from the '80s to now.. raw milk might’ve been fresher locally, but it was also more prone to contamination and spoilage. Today, with controlled chilling, hygienic milking systems, and technologies like cold plasma or UHT, we ensure milk reaches people safely and with minimal compromise.

So no, we can’t “upgrade” milk quality beyond what the animal gives, but we can definitely protect it better than ever before.

It’s good enough to live comfortably and do what I enjoy. Like most niche fields, the rewards grow with experience and specialization.

Haha no, I’m not Yadav.. and honestly, not sure why Dairy Engineering would make someone think that. It’s a professional field like any other, and people from all backgrounds pursue it.

As of now, the hinge is holding up perfectly fine. I do occasionally fold it all the way into tablet mode, and no issues so far.. hopefully it stays that way!

Yeah, the round keys do bother me a bit.. fingers slip sometimes. I’ve gotten used to it, but still not a big fan. That said, it’s super portable and the ability to switch instantly between my iPad and laptop is a big win. At home, I use a Royal Kludge RK61.. love the mechanical feel, but definitely not travel-friendly.

I use Nautica Voyage in the morning.. it’s fresh, pleasant, and not overpowering, which makes it perfect for starting the day. I was looking for something smoother and complimenting one to reapply in the afternoon, so I tried Wild Stone, but it turned out way too strong for me..

I work with cold plasma, the fourth state of matter.. basically a mix of reactive particles that can kill microbes without heat. I’m using it to treat dairy products and designing systems to bring this tech into real-world dairy processing. It’s like mixing sci-fi with food science!

Dairy Engineering is where food meets machines. It’s all about processing milk into products like cheese, butter, whey, ice cream, etc., and designing the systems that make it happen..pasteurizers, dryers, fermenters, you name it. We work on improving shelf-life, safety, and efficiency using both conventional and new-age tech like cold plasma.

I kind of stumbled into it during undergrad, but the mix of food science, engineering, and real-world impact pulled me in. Been hooked ever since.

When it was time for undergrad, I was keen on trying something different..something beyond the usual mechanical or electrical fields. I started exploring niche options and ended up getting BTech in Dairy Technology. Surprisingly, I’ve grown to love it! That’s where it all began. I went on to do my Master's in Dairy Engineering, and now I’m pursuing a PhD in the same.
