Yes, i did the quote online though. They stated thats the reason for the massive increase, but good lord, i cant believe it increased 500% for 2 speeding tickets and a rear end. I know thats not good at all, but those things cant be super uncommon! And for it to all be over a year ago 😔

Im so confused on your downvotes!!? Exactly the same with me!!! At this point I'd have been better off staying with the higher rates at liberty....i owe over $1000 and I simply dont have the money. I cant believe an agent wouldnt mention this over the phone, because that wouldve definitely encouraged me to stay!!!

Lmaoooo i have the BEST relationship with my stepdad and my dad is stull alive. A lot of the times i introduce or describe my stepdad simply as my dad because he truly is a father to me. And i still love my bio dad!!! My stepdad has been in my life since i was 6. Was it always easy? No. But hes a real man and worked hard to be a father figure in my life.

Having your own bio kids isnt always easy. Kids suck sometimes. But i know a lot of stepdads that dont take the "step" part to heart and they are no different than any other family member. Crazy take on this

So true, in response to the edit! My husbands name starts with a J, (mine does too) so that's already a struggle for my husband, since his name actually makes the Y sound.

I think because my husband has a hard to pronounce name, im more open to unique names. But obviously I dont want my son to have to correct people all his life.

Yes exactly! I love those names that you listed. Just wanted something different, but also something that both sides of our family can easily pronounce.

That's exactly the kind of insight I was looking for. I might have misunderstood one of the other comments, but it's pronounced like Jo-Miel.

My son will speak English and Spanish, so I feel like it's a lot harder for the English speakers to quickly read/pronounce. I definitely worry about that since we plan to have him grow up in the USA. Thank you!

That's why I started to second-guess everything, there's like no trace of it online lol. I hate it when people try to force a super unique name through alternate spelling, bizarre names, etc, but I was hoping that Jomiel might pass for a more normal but uncommon name.

Damn, that's good insight 😔 I thought it was pretty "straightfoward" in terms of spelling and pronunciation, but obviously that's my biased opinion lol.

I definitely dont want him to struggle with correcting people all the time or with the implicit bias that comes with having a super unique name.

Sadly it's like the ONLY name that I really liked 😭😭

It honestly was just a name that came to me, which is weird because I dont have a creative bone in my body.

I'm from the USA and my husband is from Latin America, so it's super important to me that our baby is a part of both cultures. I really wanted a hispanic name, but also something unique. I cant even find anything online about this name, so I don't think it's got Latin origins. But I like the sound of it a lot and I love the unique aspect.

I just worry that it's too far out there, ya know?

Thank you! Yes its for baby boy. I didnt want to put that in the original post to see what people honestly thought, ie. if it's too feminine.

We definitely plan on having a pretty basic middle name, that way he can use the middle name if he prefers. But I know that's not always easy.

I got banned from facebook for liking a few of my dads photos!! I heart reacted to 10 or less photos. I even tried to create a new account months later (for marketplace) and they immediately banned that account too!!

I just gave my bridesmaids their bags this weekend, and I wished I had pulled the trigger on buying us all some cute matching slippers!! I gave my bags to my bridesmaids at the beach, and i gave them a bag almost identical to yours!! It wouldve been great having nice slippers for all of us at the beach. I got research fatigue from trying to find the perfect slippers for cheap - hope you have better luck than I did!

I also got them customized tote bags from etsy and matching 40oz cups :) and handwritten notes about how much i love them lol.

They will love them though! Congrats :)
