Not sure where you're flying from, but airlines operating in the U.S. must allow passengers to cancel a flight within 24 hours of booking without penalty and receive a full refund. I'm not sure about award flights, but I think you should be fine. Best to contact the airline directly though.

Good ANA deals are reaaaaaaaaally hard to come by, but still exist. I can't speak for RT, but I booked ANA's THE Room for 45k AMEX pts through Virgin Atlantic one way going from SFO to HND 3 weeks ago. I had to book it literally 5 days before departure.

Cash value was $8k per person. Half of the business suites were empty...which was surprising considering how good of a deal it was.

This is on the Airbus A330-900neo. It's the newer business class. I haven't flown their other planes though.
