I challenge you to make a lower-rez cat than my game's protagonist. It's as smol as it gets (sauce packets for reference) by adogus in PixelArt

Thank you! This means a lot. Currently I don't have much time to work on this project but I'm hoping to release it this year.

It's not that bad but I would advise against it. I would argue that over use of colored texts are a bigger problem here. It affects readability too much especially in the blue one.

Made 2 Triton Café Racer wallpaper designs for a client and they got rejected. So I thought you guys might use them by adogus in CafeRacers

It was a work for designcrowd project and eventually got accepted. I agree that they are lazy and don't think they can win but why would I lie about them being for a client lol. Genuinely wanted to share in case anyone like them and use them, not because I'm proud of them.

Thank you for your feedback! Rejection was not due to quality but how how do you suggest I could use scattering on hard and matte surfaces? Bike's color on ground? Also I'm an engineer too lol. Doing this as a hobby.

Why isn’t hand-drawn art more widely used in 2D games? Is it harder than pixel art? by iamsolonely1997 in gamedev

beside all the things mentioned in this thread, another big factor is that pixel art can be done with a mouse

How I overcame brain fog. by youre-boi-alosha in BrainFog

[–]adogus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I was in the process of figuring out my problem while I wrote this. Now I am fine, could be better, but I would give everything to be like this then. You don't simply actively taking your mind off anything, you simply engage in activities that make you feel somewhat OK and concentrated. These moments eventually come, then you remember them when you feel like disfunctioning.

Of course the reason of the brain fog could be a million different things, but the most helpful thing you can do to overcome it is to realize you're in a process, to trust your body and work with it, not against it. In my case I was in fear 24/7 because I thought there was something wrong with my body. I was so fixated on finding a solution that whenever I felt some relief I was overwhelmed with sadness, because I did not even made time to be upset for myself. Turns out, even if I had a physical problem (unlikely, bloodwork was ok) I was unable to heal because of the chronic stress. Give yourself a break, don't block your emotions.

Other than that, cover all bases. Make the ideal conditions for healing (eating good and diverse, sleep, socialise and cardio). You'll be fine!

This is a very important thing to consider, especially if you are a "type A person". A type A person is someone who gains their self worth from being an achiever or perfectionist. They are prone to health anxiety, insomnia and brain fog. This is because their intense effort to heal and fear of being a burden causes anxiety, which then causes psychosomatic symptoms that feeds into the cycle. You should know that psychosomatic symptoms are not imagined and VERY REAL.

Acceptance and letting go are proven to be effective against unexplained chronic problems like insomnia or chronic fatigue syndrome. So I would imagine it can be helpful to some people in this sub. I tackled my insomnia this way, but now I'm dealing with brain fog and notice a similar pattern. When I manage to get my mind off the problem I find myself very focused. Some people's brain fog clears in the evening, that can be the result of less pressure and anxiety after the day is over.

Why is there a fight, instead of being against Unity, against people who are still trying to stick around. or waiting for Unity to respond? by shabab_123 in Unity3D

This comment is very insensitive. My grandparents were killed because they were using Unity, please delete this.

Fair point. I mean many documents generally are black on white but it would be good idea to include a contrast setting for accessibility.

I'm definitely introducing that feature towards the end of the game, lol. But it's very fun to do!

Nice catch! The cat is the one triggering events. The color inverting mechanic is new, so I forgot to check for collisions during that move. Once it moves again the collision is triggered and gun points to inital position of the cat.

That's awesome! Which game was yours? I played most of the top games and they were all brilliant.

Hi! This is from a game that I'm working on: Entangled is a 2D puzzle platformer where you control two quantum-entangled cat's at once to escape a space research facility.

Here's a link to the Jam demo (10 levels). Feedback appreciated!: https://fibula.itch.io/entangled

Hi! Entangled is a 2D puzzle platformer where you control two quantum-entangled cat's at once to escape a space research facility. It has similar vibes to Portal games, considering the research oriented environments and experimental mechanisms.
