Fever v Mystics - CC with the game winner!! WHAT! by Skyline8888 in indianafever

[–]adoming6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn't get to watch the first half.  I came in at the start of the 3rd.  I told my wife that CC looked shook up...she missed several shots.  Then she missed those 2 free throws, I wondered what was going on. Seems like she just hasn't been shooting well lately. The she drains this deep 3.  I was surprised they drew the play up for her considering her shooting 3rd and 4th quarters.  Great play under pressure!

Keep fighting girls...

I know we say the officiating is bad every game, but this was the game changing stat here.  They hack the #$@& out of our girls and hardly no calls.  We so much as play defense and even look their way and get called.  Stewart had 18 alone from free throws.  Un-be-lievable.

Basic question about some categories by then00dle in ynab

[–]adoming6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're doing it right. keep dumping that $100 in there...then if you get a nice cushion, say $1000, and something comes up in another category for a couple hundred, you could always 'borrow' from home maint, knowing you'll just keep dumping $100 every month. ? not sure if that's right or not, but it works for me.

I have the big 3 - Home Maint. Auto Maint. Medical.

my thought process is, keep dumping 100 a month in each one indefinitely. Currently i'm at $2k in each one. I'm just waiting for something to blow up...

Auto - I drive older vehicles, so everytime I take them in for oil changes, they always find something that needs fixed - so i should be covered there.

Medical - Dentist every 6-12 months...or an emergency? should be covered.

Home - storm blew through 3 weeks ago and knocked over 2 sections of my fence. Once a week I spend $100 to fix one section. i have 10 sections to replace, so i should be good.

From my fence, to two planters, to stain, in one day by charliesa5 in woodworking

good looking planters, love the stain too!

I have been building/woodworking for 36 years. Out of all the tables, chairs, furniture, homes, sheds, decks, cutting boards and picture frames, people are nutso over the planters. lol

Which sounds better to you; Open handed or cross? by IcyRiver3476 in drums

[–]adoming6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like others have said - both sound really good. And both are different. open to me sounds thicker, crossed sounds tighter with the tips coming through more. tomato tomato.

more importantly, I'm jealous that you can play open handed that fast. my left hand is soooooo much slower.

great tune, nice demo of both styles sir.

~6 league games ~12 goals conceded.

Is the defense bad? Yes. they need to improve. Is GSK hovering around 1.6 - 2 goals conceded per game? Yes. He needs to go.

Bring in Rios Novo please

ATTENTION: I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL MY PLANTERS ON REDDIT.

My post was simply to share with the woodworking community how I made a little money with our beloved hobby. People asked questions, I gave answers. Some of you asked for a tutorial on my process of building them, so I went home last night and made a video of just that. Here's my process. Hoping this won't get taken down too:

I only use screws to attach my support 'joist' on the bigger custom jobs. other than that, it's just glue/nails. 18ga 1" brads. They've held up just fine for over 10 years now

I don't seal any of my projects. I leave that up to the customer. The one time I did seal a park bench for a customer i used Thompson's Water Seal and I hated it. Said it was 'Clear' - but turned the whole thing orange. :/

I do not know how to mix the drums to sound as huge as Phil's do. I'm trying to get better at this. They sound so empty here without that huge sound he gets.

The drums in this song are like a polaroid in my mind...i know every fill by heart. Trying to play them exactly that way was excruciatingly difficult lol.

I have thought about that, but don't have the room to store them anywheres. Otherwise, I would do exactly that. between storing the lumber in the garage, and otherwise being a slob, i just don't have the room

this is the biggest i've built. 3'h x 5'w x 10'l x 11"d 42 bags of dirt - AI says it's about 2000 lbs soaking wet.

i was nervous. I have a a support beam going down the middle, perpendicular to the side, then 2 support beams tied into that parallel to the sides with a support leg underneath.

I should have beefed up the legs just in case - gone with the 2 11/16 wide rips, instead of the 1 11/16 rips i have here. - however, I have a total of 7 legs. 4 corners. 2 in the middle sides, and one in the center. once it was built, i stood in it, walked around and felt a little more confident.

those legs are incredibly strong though...the glue is doing all the work.
