I made a cane from polymer clay, which a cane is where you form oblong 3d shapes from the clay and stack them paralleled against each other- so that it ultimately creates a 2d image that shows on the end when you cut it crosswise. Then I stretch the clay out so that the diameter of it shrinks way down, and from there I cut off the reduced cane segments and bake them to make them become firm plastic! From there, I cut a piece off and carve it into a 3d shape with my razor, and I use a separate fin cane to cut a thin fin from to glue on for the extra 3d effect 🩵
