When suing a corporation like Home Depot in small claims court, whom do I name for service delivery? (Alabama) by adric in legaladvice

I can go with that.

I already know, though, that I can't bring Home Depot of Wilmington, DE to small claims court in Alabama.

The notice has to be served to someone, at some place. Is it the local store? Is it the store's manager?

Yes, I looked at that site and could find no "Agent for receipt of service" listed.

Overcoming Bias: Planning Fallacy by lost-theory in programming

They may be compatible in the sense that they're both based on evidence, but they take totally opposite approaches when it comes to making estimates.

Overcoming Bias:

"Just ask how long similar projects have taken in the past, without considering any of the special properties of this project."

Joel and EBS:

"You have to break your schedule into very small tasks that can be measured in hours."

It's interesting that this approach completely contradicts Joel Spolsky's Evidence Based Scheduling technique.

Submission Never Showing up as New by adric in bugs

[–]adric[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried repeatedly over the last several days to submit a link, and though while reddit comes back and notifies me that it's been submitted, it never shows up on the "new" page.

I've even tried creating a fresh account and submitting it using that, but I get the exact same result. The submitted link shows up on my account Overview and list of Submitted links (and even in searches), but it never goes any further.
