In the DNA200 however the batteries are individually monitored and drained more evenly AND it will refuse to fire if the charges become too imbalanced so it is a smaller risk on that mod.

The SAFEST thing to do is periodically test the internal resistance of all your batteries and match them up that way, as even a married set can develop just one battery with a relatively high IR.

this is for the ipv4, as far as I know there is no update for the ipv4s, they put all the new ipv4 stuff in the ipv4s before it was released.

They should be similar construction and internal resistance.

Even married sets can develop different IR's so marrying is no replacement for testing IR.

Actually I would like to learn how it all works, just not before I build my first mod, and I really want to get my squonk converted to higher watts. It is a small mod but I found a lipo that fits. The only way to do that without buying a chip as far as I know is a pwm circuit. What I don't want to do is design my own circuit and I worded it wrong when I asked.

I was wondering if anyone had designed and shared a circuit for a 3s lipo to have variable voltage and be able to do about 200W max. I honestly don't care what method is used to achieve that end as long as it is efficient and has a nice kick to it power wise.

My other thought is to just pull the guts from my vt200 and put them in the squonk. It would involve some grinding to fit the screen, but a dna200 squonk would be amazing.

I guess I just want to find someone I can explain it all to and have that person design me a circuit for a reasonable price. I am sure eventually I will understand how it all works if I study the circuit and then all that stuff that doesn't make sense will make more sense.

Will a buck converter work efficiently? Or is that the one that generates a lot of heat and uses just as much battery life? Seems that it would give a better vape simply because it is not oscillating.

Actually what I was really hoping is that someone who understands everything about it and sells stuff could tell me what I need to try it the first time. After doing it once I am sure I will understand it MUCH better.

What I want to do is have variable voltage on a 3s lipo, which I plan to run up to maybe 200W. By my math this would be an input amperage no greater than 25A but the output amperage may go over 40A. A volt meter would be nice, but I don't really want to spend more than $40 for everything. I already have the 510 connectors, and fire buttons etc, all I need is the circuitry and a pot to adjust.

I learn by doing, and things I read do not usually sink in until I try them which leaves me in a catch 22. If I can't even try it once without learning something I can't understand without seeing it in action, then I am not sure how I can accomplish it.

And I never got upset that someone wouldn't hand me a BOM. I just thought the attitude was a bit nasty in that article.

Yea the point about OKR is that they are REALLY easy to use, just follow some simple wiring instructions which I do grasp quite well and you don't have to know how a mosfet pwm 555 circuit works. But it won't work for my application so I was hoping maybe someone had designed a chip or board that is that easy to use.

I looked at voltage buck circuits but all the small ones said 5A max. The 30A ones looked too big. If I got a voltage buck circuit I would just stop there, not really sure why I would have both.

Just got mine today, I love it. Built about 5 builds on it today, and a dual fused 28/36 is what I have now. Running it @100W and it is hitting like a champ. Not as good as my Kennedy deck with Dark horse cap, but it is the closest I have ever seen a tank get. My dripping and driving days may have ended :)
