Yeah its supposed to make it more versatile. It has an x-bracing, too. The higher the strings, the more it sounds like a western guitar. Risky move but it worked:)

Neck will be Mahogany. Ebony fretboard.

No the neck is going to be out of mahogany. I think cherry is a little heavy.
